I'm still finding this whole episode hard to believe as my dealing with Jacob was very professional and he came across as a great guy.
Looks like he fooled us all and played it very cool right to the end and I'm really feeling for everyone that has their watches with him..And there is a lot of watches.
I'm hoping for a happy outcome for everyone now that sql_pl has made contact with his family..Hopefully his mother will smack him around the ears and knock some sense into him.
There are some street vendors in HCM city around the back of the Palace hotel in district 1 that have some nice reps for sale. Your friend would have to know his stuff though as I wasn't too sure if they were frankens or not. One guy in particular had some really nice old moon watches that looked gen to me but I couldn't be 100% sure...He was after $600 US for them at the time. If he is after general reps and nothing too fancy then Lucky Plaza just around the corner from here is an interesting place to look through.
As for Singapore there are no reps on display and he would have to go through to Malaysia for these.
Hope that helps a little.
EDIT: Fredy isn't the Macau venetian on Macau island Hong Kong??
Mate you need to order another longer stem from T and cut it down to fit his new crown as the threads on these are deeper than the standard rep crown.
Edit: I have just noticed you are in Sydney...PM me your address and I will send you one as I have grabbed 2 stems from T.
If you send $3000 via western union to someone that you do not know then you need a large injection of common sense. While I feel for you I don't understand why some people just don't get it.
Laz I have mine on a Mario Paci papaya which I love and is a great combination.
I recently scored a Simona vintage which is sitting beside it and this one rates very highly as well.
Theres no debate at all between the dials...The LH dial is the best hands down.
The only issue is that he accepts wire transfer only and his EMS costs are $30 so this brings the total to around $260 without the lumeplate.
Looks pretty good but what about the offering over at Repgeek from a Korean watchmaker 'Little Hero'??
I believe the cost is $200 without the bottom lumeplate.
I was just going to say the same thing about a group buy...Maybe someone can have a chat to Davidsen and ask about his case as it seems the best/only one out there at the moment.??
Maybe wait until the real experts chime in here first V....Just incase my way is no good.
I would hate for you to wreck your movement because of my bad advice
Really easy to do...Take the movement out, Remove the dial and hands and with the movement still on the holder cut the seconds pinion with some wire cutting pliers.
Or a watchmaker could probably remove the whole gear but that wouldn't be any fun.
