  1. You can swap the Aisan 7750 for the swiss 7750 but it requires some modification as I believe a couple of the hands are too big. There a posts on this subject so a quick search should bring up some answers for you. By the way the ETA 7750 is magic and feels sooo much better than the Asian one so I personally think this would be a good swap for this watch.
  2. I recently took my Franken Avenger to a local watchmaker to get a lello datewheel installed and they have left finger prints/smudges on one of the hands. While not being all that noticable my question is will the acid in the fingerprint cause any erosion on the hands over a period of time.? I would dearly love to get rid of the marks but not sure I can trust a watchmaker that leaves fingerprints on the hands a second time.
  3. Totally agree with you there Doc it is a nice watch no matter what.
  4. The A's are the least of the problems with these watchs though......If you want it as near to the gen as possible then the DW cases are the only way to go. These watches are ok but not close enough to be worrying about the A's on the dials. Do a search for posts by Freddy333 and you'll see what I mean.
  5. Night...Take it up with Ruby as she will replace this if she advertised it as swiss ETA. She is a good dealer and will do you right.
  6. Um well not too sure really what to think to be honest.....If you think it looks ok then thats the main thing.
  7. How good are his crownguards!!...I was lucky enough to pick one up a few weks ago and it is magic.
  8. Nice one dakku and welcome on board....What watch next?
  9. Andrew can you comment on the datewheel on the Navitimer old. I have one excactly the same as The Zigmeisters and want to upgrade the datewheel but not sure if they used the standard ETA datewheel or the same as Lellos.
  10. Holy smoke that's nice, Well done Rob.!!!

  12. Easy on guys lets keep this discussion on the low down and not start making personal remarks and slagging off other members. This is an interesting and pertinent thread so we should build on it and kep it constructive.
  13. ahhh thanks Anton..Understand now.
  14. I was waiting for this to happen to these watches...I hope yours will be ok Lanikai but it doesn't sound good Will a swiss 7750 work in these models..How does the date function?
  15. Bezel was off of ebay for around $100 and the dial was more than this
  16. notime...The Zigmeister is the master of relumes so I think he knows what he's talking about. Do a search and see what I mean.
  17. Fantastic Job again The Zigmeister.
  18. I have only sent the one watch to The Zigmeister so far but as they say in Australia he's a top bloke with a good sheila.
  19. @Italiano, Yes this one does have a slight bottle effect but with K2222's great AR coating it almost gets rid of it. Thanks everyone for all of the great comments.
  20. Good one Andrew, Can't wait for it.
  21. Thanks guys, Maybe one day I can get the gen hands to finish this off properly as the rep ones are a little too short. I can get them but for the money it is not worth it
  22. Movement from ajoesmith and the rep case was from Ruby.
  23. After almost 6 months gathering the parts my Super Avenger is Finished...Well apart from the Lello datewheel which I need to find a new watchmaker to install. Gen: Bezel, Dial, Strap. Rep: Hands, Deployment Crystal: Double AR from K2222 ETA 7750 movement. Enjoy.
  24. I think we should see the other example of his modding skills and ask that the thread titled 005 for linas which is currently hidden in the Panerai section be unhidden.
