By the way gen Rolex watches do not have AR coating so yours is correct in not having this.

Both of those sources have sold out of this movement...I got mine from ebay and is really your best bet. Expect to pay between $300-$400 for this. Good luck as the 29 is a worthy watch for this transplant...Remember you then need a different sized GMT hand for the 2893-2 movement.

Phaedo, Telling someone about an upcoming deal so they can profit on it is also considered insider trading. Offshore, My advice is to stay clear of this as these type of transactions are always looked at and investigated.

Really nice watch you have there and as always a fantastic job by The Zigmeister. I actually don't own a Rolex yet (shame) but one like yours would fill the void for sure.

Maybe buying a watch that already had the crystal AR coated was worth the additional $130 to someone though. Personally I'm not very patient when it comes to waiting for stuff and with the AR coating it does take a while so I would have paid the extra. I think if someone wants to make a bit extra on their watch then so what don't buy it if you think it's too much. I mean aren't we all getting "ripped off" daily by the big dealers..Perhaps we should direct this towards them and not someone trying to make a bit of extra on one or two watches.

With good AR coating like Chiefs or Jacobs it is pretty hard to scratch the AR coating..Especially if you are as careful with your watches like most of us are. With the BCE I would choose Jacob solely on the fact that Chiefs is actually too good for this watch ....The dial is a bit shiney and reflects out past the invisible crystal. Chiefs I think works best on a matt or highly detailed dial as it really does make the crystal invisible.

Double AR is a must on a Breitling....Go for Jacob on this one.

Andreww, Gen Bezel, Dial and strap with ETA 7750 in that baby. Chief AR is amazing.!!

Phaedo if you haven't sent any crystals to either Chief or Jacob then just do it as it makes such a massive difference.

Finally got my Chief AR crystal and Lello date wheel installed in my Chronomat and I think it looks stunning. Funny thing is when I first saw it I was shocked because the watch actually looked like it had more shine off the glass and it took me a while to realize the shine was from the dial and hands and the glass was pretty much non existent. Next one across is my franken Super Avenger with the newly installed Lello date wheel and K2222 Ar coating. I think the K2222 coating is more like the gen Breitling coating with a blueish hue to it in the right light. Chiefs coating however leaves me speechless and is just crazy good....No other words can describe it. Last but not least is a so far unmodified first gen Chrono Avenger which I am going to drop an ETA 7750 and gen dial into very soon...The AR on this is standard and you can tell compared to the other two that it is not very good.

It's the only thing that really bothers me about my Franken..... the bottle effect of the glass. After AR it is awesome from all but the most severe angles. My one may be up for sale at some stage...go check it out in the Breitling forum. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=68262
