I was looking at this a while ago and Jantzen was seemingly a good bet if you're buying off the internet, but better if you can get sized while you're over there as then the sizes are accurate!

This is a great thread
Thanks for all the info posted!

Thanks for the link!

Cracking pics, as always
What are you shooting on? DoF is great!

Ah, ok, I seeeee....
So they came with a 2678-2 in a movement ring, and you've swapped this arrangement out for a 2836 (without a movement ring?).
I guess that as long as the sweep is smooth and the movement genuine, as advertised, I wouldn't mind which was in mine, but the overall best option would be a 2824-2 movement and the case from the LV with the correctly placed stem hole?
-
Like it!

Nice shots, thanks
Is this one of the bargain $100 versions?
-
I went a little ballistic:
gen parts/bezel, insert, crystal, crown and tube.
The Zigmeister lume on hands and dial, movement swap to ETA 2836 and TW's best bracelet.
I may well be wrong on this, but I thought the WM9v2 sub came with gen ETA??

lol
Avitt, if I ever get the cash together for a decent rep and some DLC, you'll be the first man I contact
Somewhat amusingly, I have mentioned on a gen board that I know a man who can DLC for a very reasonable price and fix people's scratches properly, , but people seem to want to send them to the dealers to get the case changed at vast cost...
-
AFAIK the gen is PVD, not DLC? I'm 99.99999% sure it's PVD but the spec sheet only mentions 'carbon finish': http://www.bellross.com/download/notices/BR02-en.pdf
Only the BR01 Tourbillon has DLC as I understand it.
Personally I would go for SS - scratches can be polished out and they won't damage the look of the watch if you leave them, which will be the case with PVD - unless you like the beaten up 'worn' look (which I don't
lol).

Nice
I must get one from Tat at some point!
-
I'm confused by the amount of different versions there is of this
lol

Errrr
These arn't Reps people
.
I bet they're cheap!! LoL

Rule No. 1 being that no matter what it is, if it's the most expensive solution it's the one I like the most (same exception as above applies).
Val.
LOL
I seem to have that rule too...

Ask Mary on RWG1.1 - she might be able to find it for you! I've also thought about these as they are rather nice
-
Thanks for the compliments all
p.s. who's Mary ?Mary is WatchInternational on RWG1.1

Good stuff, duly noted for future reference
lol

It does seem that, to a certain extent, you pay more for 'clean design' (i.e. less lol) in designer world
$540 for a shirt though? I ask anyone to justify what on earth about it costs that much to make.

Interesting!
I was reading elsewhere that recent trends in Italy have been for even bigger watches than we've had in recent times, so given they are generally near the forefront of fashion, who knows what's going to happen!
I was having a discussion the other day about predicting which watches will be good investments - should you go for the limited editions that no-on really likes now and therefore sell badly, in the hope that they will be worth more for rarity value in the future? Or should you just buy a classic piece and look after it, rather than having a safe queen that you never wear because it's fugly? lol
-
That would bug me something chronic lol
-
Bugger
Sorry to hear this - never good when things don't make it
If it's any consolation, the UK has had strike action recently and it may well still be stuck in a depot somewhere, in a backlog of stuff - although I wouldn't necessarily hold out any hope on that...
-
I'm really liking these at the moment, thanks for the write up
-
+1 on the all black one!
-
I'm confused
LoL
Thanks for the compliments though, all, I'm very pleased with it. The men's version is on my list, but then so are about 50 other watches!
lol
If you could improve the WM9V2 Submariner...
