  1. I'm having issues with this as well - I can't even see what 'm typing until Im' four lines down or so :(

That and the fact that the smileys box overlaps and hides the tet too!

It's a good job I can touch tyope... lol

    EDIT:

And again, in English, now I can see what I'm typing in the Edit Post box... ;) (well, apart from the smileys that still overlap...) Clearly my touchtyping needs work! lol

  2. Hi all,

I wasn't sure where to post this so I hope this is the right forum

I'm looking to add some holes to a replacement B&R BR01 strap that's using a replica buckle, but I can't seem to find a hole punch that is the required 6mmx2mm anywhere!

Has anyone got an ideas? Will I have to try and get one custom made? Or look for a smaller size one that I can use twice or three times to make the one wide hole??

I'm also not quite sure what size the gen PAM strap holes are, so if anyone knows...

Thanks for any help you can give me! :):thumbsupsmileyanim:

  3. Thanks for the pics and advice, Lani :)

Is that one the one that has recently come onto the market at a very reasonable price (under $200?)

I've always been tempted by this and if it's got the swiss movement AND the new, lighter coloured steel, it's making it hard to resist!

  4. Mmmmmmmmm shoes.

I grew up in the village that Barker are made in (and also the original Kinky Boot Factory/Brooks, Dr Martins/Whites and others) so guess what make i usually buy? ;)

If you want smart proper mens shoes then they have to be made in Northamptonshire, England.

The very best are John Lobb and Edward Green. I didn't pay for them myself but my John Lobbs retail at over $5000, that's the quality level they're at and level of bespoke they produce.

Barker, Churchs, Crocket and Jones, Trickers are all good base level makes that will last you a good long time though.

I think i have over 30 pairs at the moment.

I'm sorry, what? $5k for shoes?? :bangin:

  5. Sweeeet, will look forward to the pics! :)

re: the OP, you can use the graphite trick on normal lume.

Take a pencil and grind the 'lead' against something so it ends up as powder. Then you can just mix it in with the lume to get a darker lume that still glows quite well :) I believe softer pencils are darker, but generally the more 'lead' you add the darker it will be!

  6. My wife wants a Bell& Ross, now i have to look to find one for her, but 42mm is really big in my opinion.

    Have a look for the BR-S models, I think they're 39mm?

Some good suggestions in this thread though.

If you (she... lol) want completely matching watches, you could get the large and the tiny size Yachtmasters, or there are ladies and mens sized Omega Aqua Terras?

I've posted a thread somewhere reviewing the one I bought for my missus :)

Email Mary at watchinternational with what you're looking for and she should be able to sort you out! I reckon you could get a ladies and mens Omega AT for under

  7. Thanks for your replies.

I come across one for around $1200 before but it not a big deal if i have to pay $1700 for one. I may actually just buy a whole gen seadweller. I almost bought it before but everytime i went watch shopping and tried it on i went home with a different watch. I normally prefer 42mm or larger. However, i love the classic look of the seadweller.

As far as the wait, i have all the time in the world. I just wanted to see the quality of watchmaker 9's watches. Im a gen collector (aquatimer chrono, pam104, nardin maxi marine) but i have one SOSF rep (not very happy as the dial had some strange scratch lines on it and a faint marking). I can't wait to see the seadweller.

I presume you wouldn't be taking the movement out of a gen to swap it into a rep of the same watch??! lol
