Another awesome initiative here guys.. If it wasn't for me being off to Berlin on a poker trip the following week I would definately be there! As being one of the attenders at the last EU GTG in Brussels in June, I can highly recommend it to any doubters out there! You will have a blast with a wonderful bunch of like minded people!

Well I love GTG's and I sure love Amsterdam.. However, I will not be able to make it this time.. Just moved to a new apt and taking the family to Sardinia in two weeks, so it is a pretty busy/ expensive period for me atm.. The gens use the 79320 (ETA 7750 base - modified by IWC). So a DDW change is still a huge improvement, as the standard ETA font is very close to the gen..

Dial, hands and DDW's are 100% rep.. Never seen that serial though (have seen three different types of rep case backs in my life but all with the same no - 3183293).. Reported!

Now that you mention it, I realize you are absolutely right R! And this was discussed very, very late (after many hours and lots of drinks) during this years GTG.. Anyways, I don't mind going to Spain next year for the GTG! Heck, why not have two?! It was soooo hilarious!

Must be something wrong with your calendar mate.. 25th of June 2011 is a Friday.. And in Sweden we got parties with blondes chicks running round naked 24/7/365.. Sounds good.. With the additional naked blondes it's a no brainer really.. But the fact is that we should probably look for a different date, as it will be a problem getting Swedish members to join at midsummer eve since everyone celebrates it with family and close friends. So having a midsummer themed GTG (with the traditional food and drinks) in the late spring/ early summer would probably be the safest bet..

As a true astronomer I would bet my hard earned dineros on that midsummer will take place on the 25th this year and on the 24th next year.. So Andy, whoever informed you that it will be on the 19th this year must have been off his nuts..
