  1. yes i think it is under the photography section or my collection section... the safari has white dial...
  2. ok, please share with us your progress...I was thinking of doing a shappire conversion too... Also I would be interested to know if a noobmariner caseback can fit into the mbw 1680.. Guess what? It would become a nice vintage 16610 with lugholes because it would have a shappire crystal and a modern caseback...and lets not forget the mbw case comes with lugholes... Also the noob dial is the best modern 16610 rep dial avalaible. I am very curious to see the results.
  3. please take a look at this thread in replicacollector: http://www.replicacollector.com/members/in...amp;hl=bevelled It seems that the problem is not the crystal itself but the retaining ring... Sorry I didnt wanted to mislead you. BTW, if you are looking to buy a shappire conversion kit try this: http://www.krysworks-store.com/
  4. besides TTK, who else can source this very same noob? Thanks
  5. Hi, I had this same problem when installing a gen tropic 127. The mbw 1680 case is based in the mbw 5513 case. The 5513 case takes tropic 19 which has a different diameter i guess. My watchmaster had to trim the cristal (with a hand file and then polish the plastic crystal) until it was fitted. So you will have to trim down the interior of the cristal, just where the crystal attachs to the case, any vintage mbw modder can correct me if I am wrong, but I am just telling you what my watchmaster told me. Regards Manuel.
  6. I like more the second one without the word daytona:
  7. I think you are right avitt.. Roamer has produced some chronos with valjoux 7733, valjoux 726 and valjoux 23... All of them beautiful chronos....The brand is not very known these days.. About your future white PN, will the watch dial say daytona? I have observed that there are some variatios, some say daytona, others not.. Some say oyster..others not..
  8. hehe here goes another valjoux 72..valjoux 726 waiting to reborn again...under the body of a great daytona vintage..yes white dial also.. In the meantime i wear it a lot..
  9. I forgot to mention that this is in part thanks to the low dollar.. Nice valjoux avitt, now let me guess...another vintage PN?
  10. Please define the concept of "too good" too good condition? too good price? I too should stay away from ebay... Within 2 weeks I have bought these oem dials: Another daytona dial... A beautiful gold 1680 dial...

  15. I assume that you wrote a separately paragraph for the 1680 and the 1665 respectively.
  16. MAD [censored]! Human greedyness never ceases to amaze me.

  23. THanks to both you guys! Well, correct crystal reference for milgauss 1019 is tropic 32. Will see if I can get this watch trought the magic thai goblin. Nice pics freddy, you are really a vintage hardcore!
  24. Hi gang! I have recently just been dreaming bout the vintage silver milgauss...Ref 1019. It is one of the rarest rolex, well aint as rare as the one with ray second hand, but still a beautiful watch. If I am not mistaken this silver milgaus is known as the CERN Rolex..maybe I read it somewhere just dont know. Well, SOme time ago, WatchMaster was selling this milgauss with eta movement as you can see in the picture. Original movement for this rolex is caliber 1580...Since 1580 was only produced for this milgaus 1019, wonder if a caliber 1570 would fit into this case.. Also where can I find this milgauss? Is this a MBK watch? AS far as I know, a lot of watches from WM came from BKK...who knows...Any info about this watch will be much apreciated.. Best Regards my friends, hope u are doing well.
