TC Submariner Housing Gen 3135 & Gen Parts (Part I)
watcher replied to tc670207's topic in The Rolex Area
Wm9 had an agent in California I believe other than BK. I can see in the pics that the retaining ring now has a more gen profile which should mean that a gen insert will fit better than previous versions. -

Well put Bert! I think it was time to tell the story. I have to say the pictures look very promising if only the engraving was not there! A couple of close ups of the bezel would be great, the teeth look very good in the pics as does the bracelet and end links! Thanks! -
Friday wristies - show 'em if you got 'em!

Here is a pic of sd16600. Modded with better bracelet, trimmed guards and better rep crown. Gen pearl and rebrushed lugs. -
TC Submariner Housing Gen 3135 & Gen Parts (Part I)

I'm in uk and have a Taiwan EMS number. Tc is not George or connected but his product is connected. Tc is American if I'm not mistaken. I think it is time to let this rest and let the delivered product speak and a reputation can be established for him. There is way too much paranoia on here these days!! -

This tc 16610 case is a wm9 v3 case I'm sure. The tw does not that I'm aware of take a3135 but the tc/wm9 case will and always did. I received my tracking from tc today and will confirm its source when received. Other than bk, I have seen more wm9's than anyone and can spot one a mile away! -
Superlumed 1:1(so called) Sea-Dweller 16600 short review
watcher replied to watcher's topic in The Rolex Area
It does not have gen like construction. A genuine SD is built very differently from a Sub and would reqiure more engineering to replicate and I'm sure they will never do that! Also a gen insert does not fit. The internal measurement is good but the outer diameter is larger on the insert and would require too much sanding to work!!! Customs are being very slow wih my gen crystal and I have lost my tape measure so will update with crystal size asap. -

Hi guys The he valve looks ok but is for show only and does not go through the case. I will measure the crystal against the gen tomorrow. Gen part number is 25-285. Rep crystal is complete sh"t! I have no way of water testing, sorry! -

295 is too big for an gen seadweller but I will measure this one later. Correct size is 285 but from memory the ssd was not correct In that respect. This is better in dimension than the ssd. Why can it not be waterproof?! The crystal still seals to a gasket. -

I will check the he valve when I try to fit the crystal. The ssd does not have a removable rehaut. The guards are slightly stubby rather than being too short if that makes sense!. I will open them out more when I have time. -

This one has no etched crown but the side of the crystal needs to be more vertical and the top edge more curved. Slightly thinner and it would be good enough then. I should hopefully have my gen crystal before the weekend to do another review price. The watch is not bad for what it is but not 1:1 as boasted! And they never will be. -

Maybe there is a separate piece on the other model but something tells me that is not the case looking at past pics of the dodgy 1st release. Nothing needs to be done on this one except a polish up of the steel. It does not have a wok like rehaut -

Here is a wristshot under halogen light showing the visible rehaut through the crystal edge. I have fitted a Sub bracelet I have with much better end links. -
Right guys!! Here we go. I'm fairly short on time but here is the answer you have beenwaiting for. Dial is very nice with good superlume glow and also on the pearl which is not that bad and does have a nice pearly finish to it. Datefont is correct with nicely spaced 11, 21 and 31. Bracelet is poor!! Horrible shaped end links and very flimsy! The crown is slightly too thick and the CG's slightly too short but not as bad in the flesh as the QC pics suggest. The Bezel is pretty well done with a nicely polished edge. Maybe the teeth good be a bit deeper but a massive issue in the flesh. Lug shape is slightly wrong and looks worse in pics than reality. They need squaring off a bit as they taper down to the end. Caseback is fine with nice engraving. The movement is the superclone ETA marked in this case 2834-2 with crappy Rolex markings but seems to be running smoothly enough. Time will tell on that score. Am I annoying you yet!!!!! Get to the main area of concern you say!!!! Well....................................................................................... .........................................................Ok guys, the REHAUT ISSUE!!! The crystal is crap in one word!! It is certainly making the rehaut look incorrect in some of dealer QC pics although this is a much improved version of course!! Ok here we go. YES!!! the rehaut is better and is a separate piece as on a genuine SD16600. The crystal sits on top of the detachable rehaut inside a thin gasket. The crystal has asmooth edge and no ridge as on a Sub crystal. I have a gen crystal arriving this week but I doubt I can fit it but we will see soon enough! I have to go to work now but here are some pics to explain better.

There are Some parallels with George and some of these parts I'm sure Are from the same factories! I think he is too busy making case moulds to bother with the small mark up on these little projects but time will tell. I have a v serial case set on route to me. I'm surprised Bert has not passed any comment on this yet!

1:1 SD 16600 - Has anyone received one as shown in QC pics yet!
watcher replied to watcher's topic in The Rolex Area
I have known josh a long time and he did say he would ship a good one so will see. Looking at the qc pics it is hard too see he would have shop'd them just to sell to me having told him the issues I had with the early model. -
