  1. OUCH!!! That took a while, sorry bud... Nice watch though! ^^
  2. The difference is, that without the flyback functionality, you must first stop the chrono (4:00 pusher) before resetting to 0. Flyback is a single lap timer. Rattrapante is a split chrono where you have two chrono hands ala PAM 213. The 7750 does not have the flyback functionality by default, they must install a separate module to gain the functionality.
  3. Extremely true... the flyback function would need a flyback module, which has it does not.
  4. She's a real cutie Joe! Now on to the terrible twos! lol.. BTW, how did her thumbs turn out?
  5. My mother is Irish, my father English, I grew up in Boston, my wife is Thai. We lived in New Zealand for five yearsfrom '95 and in 2000 moved here to Melbourne where it's nice and quiet... but not as quiet as NZ!
  6. Excellent collection K... I think that logo buckle started you on a rampage! lol
  7. 063 for me depending on price, already have an 029
  8. My 2893 PAM 029 has the clicks for each hour interval on the GMT hand, just like the gen. Mods needed for the 063 and 029 would be superlume, AR coat, datewheel, cyclops, and crown... in the end it will be an expensive rep, but well worth it IMO... But surely not as an investment
  9. Yup... you did get lucky, not only with the photo... Beautiful watch buddy!
  10. I like them, these are what Anonimo should have done.
  11. I like the Anonimos... I wanted a GMT pro diver, but I really think they are trying to ride on the back of Panerai, the prices are very high, but definately cool watches. The main gripe I have with these models is the size of the date window, being blind as a one eyed bat and usually not knowing what day it is, this is a caveat for me. I've been following a few on ebay from time to time, waiting for the prices to normalize.
  12. I've been heavily into straps recently, so I thought I'd go back to basics with the stock standard:
  13. The 8days is a great watch, but no way will he get one for 4-4.5k I think Panerai prices will be slumping as the air goes out of the tires, even the previous 'good investments' are dropping in price like rocks... Look at the 192, has come down in price by 3-4k in the last year. Bottom line, like Whatch-A-Doin? says, watches are not a good investment. They may hold their value (rare), but the ones that go up (if at all), and we can predict, are the expensive ones that are limited in production and they command a high purchase value in the first place. I bought my 91 at a pretty good price, but that was a few thousand less than it sold for, I probably would get my mula back, maybe even a little more if I sold it, but I'll keep it for a few more years... It could be worth more then or it may be worth tiddleywinks... who knows... Look at some of the pricey ones now, the 036 and some of the Pre-As... I wish I got on the boat back then!
  14. Yes, the 7760 is a handwound version of the 7750... Have seen it before, but not sure where, probably Chronomaster
  15. Praise the lord!!! My project can continue, and hopefully end within a few weeks!
