you need the right calibre - 1570 and forward turn in the wrong way for ETA - but look nice
what you need is a date wheel for cal. 1030 - and you neet to cut some material in the middle - but it fits perfect - they seem
to have all the same diameter.
its the best solution for the 1680 - metal, silver and looks good under the lupe.

please help me to decide ... which dial would you put
in this 1680 (it looks very beat up in real life)
i cant decide between the very old-vintage looking NDT or the
(imho more accurate) MBW dial.
which would you put ??? ageing the MBW dial is not an option - i tried but with not much success
thanks,
Frank
take a deep deep breath ....
and leave the watch as it is ...
take the money an bye a vintage Seadweller or an other nice watch .
if you want perfection - you need more then a gen dial
the watch is nice as it is
nobody will call you out - except members of Replica and Gen Rolex forums
Frank
got a movement from the same seller -
mine needed a lot of love from my watchmaker
but now its in a Panerai case and keeps excellent time :
cheers,
Frank
im with By-Tor :
the MBW and TW-Best cases are dead wrong - the Noob a little better - but the rehaut is
to shallow - this can be spotted easy even on the wrist
the noob would be perfect for an 16800 but in your case i would try WM9 or
decide if you can accept the flaws ...
cheers,
Frank
