In the Yeats that I have used my card there has been no issues (knock on wood) my dealer pays a high premium for security and has replaced is cc company once over the years they blocked me from payment due to high usage and requested an ID so as he svised not to do this .... He pays more for a secure server my billing and shipping addy are different as I fill out the form as such but if you don't feel safe ... Money gram if you trust your dealer same charge as paypal my bank also blocks transactions that don't fit my past large purchases and it helps to have a seperate account and card for Internet purchases

There are some very good reps on the market .. and I stick with our trusted dealers .. some answer emails immediately and do not have a limit on exchanges.. others take a long time to respond.. I have stuck with basically the same dealer for some years now, without remorse.. ther are many who have lost money with dealers off the site.. just because you get a good pic of the product does not mean you will get the same product. and as far as defects being replaced or fixed.. I would not venture off the board..that is what we are structured for.. so members can feel safe.. a very small percentage of members go with quartz movements.. but that is a personal choice... when shopping for reps, remember you are not walking into an AD or dept. store .. some dealers find they can never please some .. and the rep game is really a numbers game many times.. servicing of movements.. parts .. adding genuine parts.. are all part of the hobby.. I suggest sticking with our trusted dealers..it may not be an exact science but the safety net is there.. what ever you decide.. good luck and happy hunting.. AC/Lani

I've had crooked markers on my BP 5002 which just needed to be adjusted.. btw the lume on the 3717 are the markers @12-3-6-9 only, and the genuine 3717 and Top Gun are rather weak on the genuine models.. and as Ubi states most of the other issues need to be swapped anyway..I swapped a chiefs AR xtal for mine. But the best thing to do with the markers is to have them removed and the lume applied directly onto the dial .. resembling more the genuine.. Ziggy or Vac.. Which I will have done to mine AC/Lani

There are many good strap options on the net in Germany..they even have metal mesh for Omega..and a black carbon fiber with red stitching... as do other sites in Germany.. just google .. "German watch straps" here's one>watch strap shop

The vintage Doxa's or any vintage models are not for everyone.. they are a different breed of watches ..imo my first Doxa was a 600T graph.. and I still love it and have it in my rotation.. it is bulkier than the vintage models.. but not that much more than the 300T's.. I noticed too that Doxa has slashed their prices one their Web site.. I don't think you can go wrong with a Doxa.. Good luck in your choice.. AC/Lani

Hi Ben there is a new AS out and it is lower priced and by a different maker.. it is IMO the best Senna all black / all ceramic version out now.. the bezel appears silver at times in different lighting like the genuine Both of these in the pics are from Joshua at Perfect Clones This is an earlier.. "Black Magic".. but I prefer the all black dial on the Senna AC/Lani

The date wheel on the 5002 and 5004 has been corrected by the maker, the date wheel is now flush with the date window .. no recess..Joshua and Andrew have them and I suspect the rest of the factory dealers also,.. the PR is still fixed the 5004 with the working PR has too many issues with the dial detail I believe.

the Ploprof is scheduled out this month.. much anticipation for that one.. and another 42mm PO.. in a couple of months.. this one made form a genuine sample ans should be gtg for genuine parts. the Ploprof soonest.. AC/L

I started this journey with reps.. not that I didn't own any kind of genuine watches before.. they were of the Seiko, and Swiss Army variety.. but as far as name brands .. reps were first.' and ultimately the desire to own a genuine Rolex was a seed that was nurtured through reps..my first was the Explorer white dial circa 1980's which still had the drilled lugs.. But after another gen Rolex I realized I coveted my top frankens more,.. and ergo they were and are getting more wrist time.. although my Doxa's are the exception tot he rule.. when it comes to gen vs. rep lately.. Having 1 or 2 gen Rolex in your collection is a nice way to add the icing on the cake.. price certainly came into play as I got both for very good prices.. IMHO..I paid a little more in all for my Doxa's.. In h9nd sight .. I would do the same.. as this hobby is definitely about the journey and not the destination.. the genuine will hold it's value no doubt, so I'm sure if I ever needed to sell them it would not be a problem. My frankens each have a story to tell, and I am reminded of the fellowship and RWG. So I don't think there is any parameters for whatever you choose to collect.. it's the experience and projects that provide the fuel for the fire that keeps it going.. AT times this hobby and RWG has saved me from the crazyness that surrounds my biz and life itself.. for me, living for the moment and doing what feels right is all encompassing at times.. and staying in the moment weather it be for one project or many .. keeps me together.. so the morale of that is.. do what feels right at the moment.. life is too short to plan in such detail at times.. Although Hublot may be popular amongst some of us.. it would be very quiet to have it's own forum.. look at the Breitling forum.. although a major brand.. very little activity there,.. due in part because the reps are so good it behooves members from acquiring gen dials or much discussion on the mods needed to make them super reps.. and with all the past issues with the gen HBB I would feel more comfortable with in as is..
