  1. I can dig out a spare for you R
  2. We'll help you through it Kent.. Just check in regarding the case .. you may want to see what Fishgodeep will have available in dials.. Email DSN, inquire about PreV hands ..hour, minute, sub second .. (if needed) don't worry about the colour of the lume at this stage... also a crystal.. you need a dremel tool to remove the AR coating.. Pre V's had no AR coat... but don't worry about that for the time being... I have a crystal I can remove the AR.. and we can do a swap. the movement can be ordered from Ofrei.. google "Ofrei" or "Cousins" in UK. for the 6497 eta movement. don't worry about the CG for now. The enjoyment of this hobby .. is the hunt for parts and seeing the finished project.. it is very rewarding.. sometimes more so than buying a genuine . and wearing a timepiece that you had a hand in making is so gratifying.. get started now cause we have one month to get you all set. AC/Lani
  3. Great find JJ..love the lined dial.. Your genuine vintage collections grows still .. AC/Lani
  4. Cross pollination
  5. No worries .. I'll be around give it your best shot..
  6. sorry .. tech glitch
  7. Thanks F.. it's been a lot of inserts and trial and error.. can you figure what the final stage of aging I"m using ??? AC/Lani
  8. DSN doesn't have anymore old stock.. I'm getting a sample in from another source.. I'll post pics.. hope it pans out.. you do need a case back and crystal.. DSN has the correct on .. where the crystal peeks over the top of the case.. all you need to do is strip the AR.. I swapped the correct one in these pics.. DSN's AR is single sided and easy to strip with a dremel..the 6497 movement can be gotten through Ofrei... oh yeah.. your going to need the hands from DSN also. good luck and stay tuned for the case set. AC/Lani
  9. FGD has more PreV dials being made and you need to find a PreV case set.. stubby lugs.. sign up for Ziggy's January PVD run and your set.. hard to get this one off my wrist..
  10. yeah.. you can figure out why ... I have a bunch though .. one left of a vintage look with the lume patinaed, through various other sources through the years.
  11. thanks B .. the finished insert is still a few weeks away.. with the naked eye it looks mush better than the images though.. the metallic sheen is what you want to strive for as the genuine insert of that era I've seen in person are almost silver in colour.. so a little more. and yes Yuki's sells the insert ala carte.. and the correct acrylic pearl, the pearl that comes with the bezel is incorrect but the hole is the correct size for the acrylic pearl.. the insert is about 35 usd... the best I've found so far for capturing the gen. look after aging. AC/Lani
  12. Some pics of my 202A in extreme sunlight ~ Again, reacting differently in full daylight... my fav time of the year.. not a cloud in the sky and cool.. Still lovin my 202A Thanks for viewing AC/Lani
  13. It will be perhaps 2 more weeks for this sample to be to where I want it.. but so far in the final stage of aging (2 months) it looks great!! This is a Yuki insert.. the other insert (wholesale outlet)does not seem to have the same metallic look under the paint.. although I need to take the wholesale outlet insert through the same process as the Yuki insert to find out.. the naked eye view the insert as even in colour and a nice subtle metallic sheen .. the camera lens however makes every spec look more intense than it really is.. my point being that it looks much better with the naked eye but you get the rough idea with these pics.. I had to take it in full on sunlight .. I think after another 2 or 3 weeks it will look perfect in the images in the shade also.. right now it looks good in shade but the lens does not pick up the real essence of the metallic.. different angles bring different shades of metallic A nice metallic sheen~ This image has a little too bright.. but I didn't want to dampen the exposure..and loose too much metallic.. the actual colour is not this light, but close. I consider this to be a "Community" project,.. since the RWG community chimed in with their own methods and projects.. so for the final stage of my aging project I used a method that others have tried and together it has been a success.. view all the methods here>Vintage insert aging finally a metallic look to the aging insert project :thumbsupsmileyanim: Can you figure out what the total process was ??? AC/Lani
  14. 202A~ Have a good Weekend ALL!!! AC/Lani

  16. I would suggest shipping no more than 2 watches at a time.. if your dealer is worth his/her weight .. he/she will know this.. red flags go up with large quantities.. is say's "resale" to Customs agents.. good luck AC/Lani
  17. ,.. yeah T.. I always get mixed up with the model numbers I'm glad I can just call this my "fat lady" regarding the movement.. it will not "fool" the Horologist .. for me it is a matter of keeping good time and not being problematic.. my DSSD and Milgauss Rolex clones have been keeping spot on time with my computer and genuine models.. and feels very good though the crown.. so I am pleased with them.. Enjoy your DSSD T. .. and I'm glad I could be of service AC/Lani
  18. Tried his Yahoo email for a couple of weeks.. no reply.. ping his Gmail.. got a reply... then I emailed him again on the G ala's (nothing) at least he takes turns on his email accounts.. AC/R
  19. Although it good to err on the side of caution until claims are verified,... this one claim is certainly verified Frank And a welcomed upgrade to out reps.. the metal on the 316F does need to be brushed (fine) to bring out the sheen and colour, but if it is done with a "stain" finish.. this is the results. Side by side with my gens. AC/Lani
  20. it will strip AR and for a enameled bezel insert best to use simple car polish if you have to use anything.. I just use a swede watch polishing cloth. AC/Lani
  21. with all A7750's wind it only enough to get it started, let the rotor do the winding.. get an affordable watch winder, they are plentiful on ebay.. and remember the watch winder is just to "keep" the charge not give the timepiece a full charge. wearing it a full day should give your PR ample charge. You are in jeopardy of damaging the movement with to much manual winding of the movement. AC/Lani
  22. the only polishing cloth I use for engraved bezels is a swede one.. like the type that comes with Invicta watches.. does a nice job..but on the tag .. it really does not need anything else AC/Lani
  23. too muckin futch doooze mudders.. maybe English is not their first langage .. neither is it mine...
  24. . . . .. ok time to get some rest..
  25. I had this on Hk's black with red stitching.. but I like it now on the black divers strap.. .. the black on black is more solid looking ..IMO.. and the Black Steel is DLC as opposed to PVD.. AC/Lani
