That is due to the eta movement being thicker than the Rolex mov't. That is why I like the new case shown. It has the tube opening centered for the Rolex movement.
I kept breaking stems on my 1560 in the MBW case and I got tired of trying to balance the shims and proper hand stack......so it looks like this new case......although very expensive, will bring my project to a conclusion.
Thanks for the feedback,
Kurt.
wwhat are your thoughts on this case?.....and yes I know the insert isn't installed yet
Accepts 1560/1570 movement, crown position/opening is where it should be so no shimming needed as with the MBW 5513 case.

Thanks,

Yeah an Olive Nato......however, they are the same watch....top one is a NOS Gen service dial and hands for the 5513 and the bottom two are from NDTrading Re-dialed and matching hands.
I've looked and read cover to cover..........but I don't see a reference for "Laphroig" in my "Idiots guide to the KamaSutra"......I thought for sure it would be listed under the "Like a Frog" section.............I mean, any position that causes you to "swear like a sailor" would certainly become a Goto favorite for me.......can you elaborate?
As a matter of fact....and with all kidding aside.......must fight urge for puns.........she was.........come to think of it, My Irish and German heritage explains alot........."hic"......"scuse me"
Yes well, don't get confused....had the money been left by my "Grandmother" the watch would have been long gone.....but fortunately, it was my "Grandmaother" which we all know means I'll take it to my grave ....I need more coffee
Thanks Pug.....The best part of the movement is the 18000bph........talk about "getting the vintage beat right"
my watchmaker is getting new plates so that age look will be a thing of the past....:-(
I really do......strange huh? I guess that the participation in building and shaping it makes it different. Like Predfan, I also owned a late 80's Gen 5513 with the gloss dial and it was just another watch. However, this one will never see a sales corner. It has a home right next to my vintage Longines that I bought with some money my grandmaother left us when she passed away.
Thanks for your comments.
