  1. Stephane, Very nice review and pictorial. I think you are correct in your advice. MBW's are the way to go. As for mods, aside from the crown and tube, the 16610 MBW is fine as is. I think the nost aesthetic mods are to the vintage pieces. Especially drilling the band and cases to accept the Gen spring bars. Nothing says Rolex like seeing those rounded springbar ends inside the lugholes....just MHO of course. Good luck and keep us all posted as yopur mods progress. Regards, Kurt.
  2. Nothing like a warm "Welcome"...huh........the numbers are for timing up to 1 hour (60 minutes) or 1 minute (60 secs) if you so choose. Simply turn the bezel till the luminous dot lines up with the current position of the minutes hand. Then you can see the elapsed time up to 60 minutes. Oh, and BTW......Welcome
  3. I'll tell ya, if the price is right.....I'll say it got lost in the mail and send it to you instead....but hey, keep it on the down low. I wouldn't want the board members to know......
  4. Thanks for the kind words. The atches always look better in person (or steel). And yes Elroy(Jetson), all work done by hand except the polish (Dremel). I agree, I think the white 1680 is possibly the best rep to own. Can't wait for "Mine" to get here Regards, Kurt.

  16. Up for comment and feedback. Full mods: Case and CG's shaped and aged, bracelet endpieces shaped, Bezel modded to recess insert (justasgood mod specialty ), Gen Crown/Tube, Gen Crystal, Gen gaskets, Lug holes and bracelet modded to accept installed Gen springbars. Dial and hands Re-lumed and Gen pearl installed. Regulated and keeping time at +4secs/day.....not bad for a knockoff All that is left is to do a final sand/polish and wear the snot out of it.
