  1. Why not have a separate raffle for the team? In fact, I would say that as members, it would be great if we could buy them the tickets just to show our appreciation! What is the total amount of moderators and admin team? I think it would be an awesome way to contribute to the board and to show our appreciation of all the hard work you guys put into making this place the amazing community that it is. Just my 0.02
  2. As a technical engineer, I always had Wiha tools for working on small projects. They are outstanding. Unfortunately, they just don't make a slotted blade driver any smaller than 0.8mm. I did see a nano sized one (once) that was 0.5mm but I haven't seen one since. They have a rounded top, but the shaft is somewhat squared off a little bit for a superb grip and it prevents the driver from rolling around on the bench. This is my ideal screwdriver and if I could find a micro set of these from 0.5mm to 1.5mm, I would be very happy!
  3. Back to the topic at hand, I agree with Lani. There is no need to wear a rep into an AD. When I went to Vegas, I wore my WM9 sub and my Rocket Dial Cartier. The first day, when I was wearing the submariner, I took it off, put it in my back pocket and walked into the Rolex AD at the Wynn. The sales man there was phenomenal! He was very courteous and generous with his time. He would show me anything I asked to see and try on. He even pulled out the new stock that had just arrived so he could show me the newest white gold daytona with the grey dial. It was beautiful. I also took a good long look at the SS submariner. Checking the usual items so that when I left the store later on I could compare my sub and see what the flaws were. The next day, I went to the Cartier dealer and had a look at the Santos 100 they had on display. This time, I wasn't even talked to by a sales rep. They just ignored me. Same was true later that day when I went to Tourneau's at Caesar's Palace. They just completely ignored me. I guess I have two points with my ramblings: 1) I would never ever wear a rep into an AD. To me that is just way too cocky, as if you are baiting the sales rep to see if they are smart enough to find you out. 2) Not all sales reps are pushy and/or needy for that next big sale. The rolex salesman probably sells more than enough watches a day that he can take his time with each and every customer. My theory is, you never know who you are dealing with. Ever. Every person that walks into that store is a potential customer and, especially in Vegas, could come back later with a wad of cash from winning big at the craps table and drop a pile of cash on a watch (or whatever). Everyone should be treated as a potential buyer. Just my 0.02 (or $2.00)

  9. Unbelievable GTG! Those are some incredible vintage rollies! Thanks for finding and sharing that!
  10. Also, based on the suggestions from the Philospher, try setting the camera to Aperture Priority and set the F stop to 16 or 18. This will help with the DOF and also minimize light flares. It's something that you need to experiment a lot with! Which lens do you have again?
  11. Use a white piece of paper. On the D60 hit the menu button>camera>white balance>select "Pre">select "Yes" to overwrite existing data. It will ask you to take a picture of white or grey. Take a picture of the white piece of paper (make sure it fills the viewfinder and make sure the paper is inside the light box so it is getting the light the same way that the watches are. This will help with your white balance setting. As for the reflections, try it at night and turn out the lights in the room you are taking the pictures in. Set up your shot first though!
  12. Looks like it's $950 from Phong. It's on page 3 of special prices
