I hesitate to pass this link on to you, as I've never bought from the site and it looks like they've taken their site design and layout from another well known dealer. But it is the only site that I've seen with a 64 Sub being offered Here is the link to their 64 page. Plus they have "Workikng Chronos" in the title

Are you looking for rep or gen pics. I don't have one myself, but I'd like to see some pics of a good rep one. I'm starting to really like the submersible line.

Yes the so called "Titanium Bracelet" is actually Ti/SS. But a few of the genuine models use the Ti/SS combo bracelet. It is no longer repped but does come up for sale every once in a while, or members who have them (but never use them) may be browsing through the "Want to buy" section and contact you - like what happened with me And Paneristi, it is the OxiClean method you are referring to, I was thinking about trying it out myself - but only if I manage to get another 192 first By the way, why are parts of your post "censored" ???

You can try putting a post in the "I Want To Buy" section of the forum. Worked for me.

Sorry, haven't dealt with PC.

DSN also takes MoneyGram, along with a couple other types of payment - so there is no need to use WesternUnion only. And MoneyGram is actually cheaper to use than WU.
-
Chronographs usually aren't water safe, as gaskets aren't put on the pushers.
-
One more time, anybody know of a source for them?
-
It looks like DSN will be releasing it in two weeks, maybe a few days earlier.
-
Definitely get it tested first. I know that David says his watches are tested to 3ATM. But I've opened three of them that I received this past month, and two out of three did not have any silicone on the gaskets. And one of those had a gasket which had been squashed by the case back.

Metal movement rings for A7750 and PAM 44mm cases
Drulee replied to Drulee's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Could really use a source for these rings now. Also need to find a source for the screws and plates to hold the movement/ring in place. Thx -
Oh, alright, sorry about that. I will google away then...
-
By your laughter, I assume they don't then. So what was the "8th day ... wind again" thing about?
-
The DSN 57 hasn't been released yet, but I believe it is due to be out in a couple of weeks. In the mean time here are some pics of a nice tobacco/ti combo. Sure it's only an homage, but I still love that deep rich brown colour of the tobacco dial. As for the 57, 27, or 28 question - I am obviously biased in that area I'm waiting for the 57 to be released, it may be my first non "seconds at 9" PAM. NOTE: The reflection in the crystal of first picture is the top of an unfinished light box, sorry about that.

Please excuse the noob in me coming out, but are you saying that movement has an 8 day power reserve? Wow! Even if it doesn't, beautiful work you've done there.

FGD 201a, All the bells and whistles! Kudos to Simon

You may want to contact kbiz, I believe he is very familiar with this type of work. But my noob self would say to try another CG if it is within your budget. -
Thanks for the excellent work The Zigmeister, and the compliments on the photos I used to do a lot of photography when I was younger, but was never satisfied with the outcome. Also, I guess I was too impatient with the developing stage - so I gave it up. But with the advent of digital photography, and the ability to see the results immediately, I've been dabbling in it again. Hope you're enjoying your holiday.

T48 = 48 teeth along the edge, so more space between them T60 = 60 teeth along the edge, so teeth tighter together

Thanks everyone for all the positive feedback. Not quite sure what to say about those who where unable to control themselves, though. Perhaps a pack of handi-wipes will keep the wife in the dark

Thanks. Now I've got to do something about the recessed date on the 250 I figure if I use these watches as lights for a couple more weeks it will have saved me enough on my hydro bill to buy a Leo date wheel
-
Well I now have a new appreciation of what a proper luming can add to a watch. Got back my 192 and 250 from The Zigmeister the other day, and just loved the results. A couple days in the house and I'm sure my hydro bills have dropped, as I've needed less lighting and just use the 250 to read by First up my "fantasy" 192. I didn't feel bad about having blue lume, as it was already a fantasy model with titanium case, instead of tantalum and the display back - besides it was already going on a blue theme with the hands and straps I've had on it the majority of the time. And with the 250 Next up, the PAM 250, first pic is before The Zigmeister, watch put under lamp for 20 secs, the pic taken with exposure setting at f2.8 for 6secs: Then, after The Zigmeister, watch put under same lamp for 5 secs, then pictures taken with exposure setting at f2.8 for 1sec: And a while later (over 5 mins), still glowing. Regular lume would have shown no sign of life by now. Here you can see the lume beginning to glow just from the ambient lighting: And side by side, with the 192 again..

You don't have to make a "fantasy" model (Franken means that the watch contains genuine parts), the 177H is a titanium cased black dial watch. Tobacco (brown) dials go great with titanium cases, you really have to have one in hand to appreciate the look, though. Plus the tobacco/titanium combo can limit your strap selection - so I'd say buy both
-
I've settled on putting an older blue 089 cartel dial in mine. It is a bit like DSN's original blue 089 dial, but not quite. It will do for now, just missing the "Firenze" print though. Right now I'm not too concerned that is nothing like the gen, not much chance that anyone would know what the gen 228 looked like anyway, not even a Paneristi
-
Any excuse to show off your franken, eh I forget, where did you get that strap, I've been searching for one like it for ages.

I've just purchased another PAM, an 086 this time, so I did a little research on the gen version. Well it turns out that the gen is actually cased in brushed stainless steel, instead of titanium like the DSN version I bought. Don't get me wrong, I prefer it in titanium, but luckily this purchase included a second separate 086 dial and I happen to have a DSN A7750, crown and a set of silver hands sitting around. So all I am missing is the case and movement ring. So, besides Jackson Tse, who would you suggest I get a brushed SS case from? Or how much effort would it take to turn a shiny PVD case into brushed stainless steel? Also, is there a major difference between a 6497 case and an automatic one, or is it just a question of sourcing a movement ring and case back that will allow extra space for the rotor?
