I'm trying to get an idea of the actual thickness of different reps. Measured with calipers, not taken from the dealers specs.
So please post yours, along with case type (manual or automatic, SS or ti) and dealer/assembler. Remember this is with caseback and crystal attached, not just the case.
Thanks
I would also be interested in an answer to this, and would like to add that the bezels in question are from DSN for his titanium automatic cases which where acquired from him more than 3 months ago. All his latest cases have the lower profile bezel.
The most common Panerai deployant straps, for 44mm watches, are 24mm at the lugs and 22mm where they connect to the clasp. If that's the same as your strap endings, you will still have to take into account the thickness of the part of the strap with the holes. This part must be thinner than usual, as the Panerai clasp has a very narrow opening.
Take all this into account when looking for one to use on your watch.
Well it has been almost a month since this was posted, and I have refined my requirements.
I am looking for a functioning GMT movement for an 088. Forget about the date pusher request - I've learned that the gen doesn't have this anyway.
As I have all the other parts collected, I really don't want to buy the complete watch
A member on another board suggested this site:
Listing of fasteners from external site
Send them an email with your requirements, if you can't find one listed.
I would say that this is a replica. If it isn't than I have one with a better crown and CG which I'm willing to sell for less
Isn't this the same seller who was selling another PAM, claiming it belonged to Usher's cousin?
My god! He does exist. I was starting to think that "The Zigmeister" was just a mythical legend started on the rep boards to keep us noobs constantly pursuing the ultimate mod
Seriously though, you must be a very busy man. But I hope that your workload will lighten in the near future, and that, after a well deserved rest, I manage to make contact.
If you're talking about Jackson, his watches are around 60-80$, and 90$ for titanium ones. My introduction to Panerai style watches was through him. Now I'm hooked.
Tape! What a brilliant idea. I scratched up two CGs last week doing this mod. Boy do I feel stupid.
Thanks for the tip, it will definitely help me in the future. You just cost Jackson some business, for all the CGs I would have had to order to replace the ones I screw up.
I am slowing piecing together a watch (Panerai case) and was trying to find the proper movement. I believe it would be a modified 7750.
The movement would be an automatic movement with GMT function and date display at 3. Ideally a recessed pusher on the case at 8 would be able to quick change the date. I hope an Asian version of such a movement exists.
Any help, particularly a source, would be appreciated.
EDIT: Forgot that it should have seconds at 9.
