  1. Yeah Rodwc i was thinking of a player with HDMI output as i have a HDTV. this one seems good, any ideas? http://www.linophir.com.au/product.php?id=366 http://dstore.com.au/electronics/DVH-220-O...mp;ref=20080528 or this one http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/p/highlander...vd-divx-player/
  2. Maybe stupid question but how do you know if a DVD player has upscaling/upconverting? If it has HDMI output does that mean upscaling?
  3. HAND SIZES OF ASIAN MOVEMENTS ARE DIFFERENT TO ETA AND THEREFORE WONT FIT!
  4. Yeah, i dont have a VGA cable thats why. and the PC desk is far from the TV so a long cable isnt what i want. Thinking or just getting a normal DVD player and burning the dvd's as dvd discs seeme pretty cheap
  5. Want to put on muscle and go to the gym? one word TUNA! and lots of it,natural, its fish, and is loaded full of protein and natural creatine! Get it in ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Yeah not really good but do people really use eBay much these days?
  7. OK only way to find out is to open the wtach up. On the B&R its really easy Here are a few pics to help you along the way, these pics are of a B&R 03-92 but its the same construction
  8. How old is your B&R? The newer B&R 01-92 watches have the ETA 2836 or so we believe, maybe asian copy ETA 2836, its all very confusing and scheming! Anyway asnswer the 1st question, How old is your B&R? and i can tell you what movement you have, or dont have
  9. For me its really difficult to see the difference between the rep CG and V'sCG in the pics above that V has provided. Can someone enlighten me?
  10. PVD PAM 28, its the rarest and probably in most demand but not available anymore
  11. No no no no no this is not the movement you need for the B&R 01-92. Mickey is right that the st18 is called the asian ETA2892 as its a clone of it but the correct movement for the B&R 01-92 is............ No body knows! Another member had exactly the same problem as you did when his broke, he couldnt find a replacement movement for it. The confusion is due to tlittle white lies from the dealers, the movement in the B&R 01-92 has nothing to do with ETA and this particular movement seems to be unavailable and unknown!
  12. Post some pics of the problem and we can all try and fix it for you guys! THe more brains working on it the better! EDIT: by the way whats a 'double corrector'? I might know it to see just dont know the correct terminology
  13. Good info but doesnt answer his problem as its a new 25 Jewel ETA 7750 that was installed With this in mind what are your comments on a brand new ETA 7750 vs Asian 7750 The Zigmeister? as this is what the watchmaker seemed to be referring to
  14. remove the front 4 screws and do that way also try the search button
  15. I think you bought the Swiss ETA from me? The quality of the Swiss ETA 7750 is much more superior to the Asian 7750. The Asian 7750 will do the same job and maybe/maybe not last the same length of time. But the Swiss ETA 7750 is a much better movement, the parts are better quality, with better fit and finish compared to Asian 7750, parts are readily available and generally overall a better movement. Simple check, wind an ETA 7750 and then wind an Asian 7750 you will feel the difference instantly! Swiss ETA is much smoother. Its simple ETA 7750 is a better but movement but the Asian 7750 will do the job just as well onto your watchmakers comment "he informed me that the Swiss movement was no better quality than the Chinese" This is simply not true, the Swiss is much better but the Asian will do the same job EDIT: the reason Mickeys movement looks different is that it is has a cotes de geneve finish, its only a finish thats different, the movement is exactly the same
  16. @carlsbadrolex, exactly my point! @D4M, Im not moving on, Admin need to answer this one.
  17. Its a beautiful Sunday morning here in Oz and I awake to find no answer to my question @cucumber jones you are correct for saying "If I was an admin here I would have closed it too." Correct but closing a thread and then admin continuing the discussion in a closed thread to make more comments that i cannot reply to is WRONG any answer adimn if this behaviour is admin policy and will continue?
  18. Exactly b16a2 I personally dont want to rock the boat anymore but i would like an explanation as to why admin is allowed to do this and whether it will continue
  19. Thats right keep laughing! youll need to cheer yourself up somehow!
  20.
