Just got this replacement dial from a dealer to replace my YM dial witha bad hour markers that i received with my noob YM and what did i find.... 4 dial feet! what! 4 dial feet! 2 feet are positioned for ETA movements and 2 feet are positioned for asian movements depending on what movement they are using they just break off the feet they dont need! Conclusion, for the Rollies anyway, Everything si the same except the movement, thats all! how can the higher price be justified Noob $78 ETA $ 228 Thats $150 for an ETA 2826, way too much IMO

Thanks for that Pix It a hell of a watch, i really wish my replacement would hurry and and get here. By the way, the one i currently have now, waiting to be replaced, the crown wont screw down, threads are completely stripped! Lets hope the new one is ok and other are too Pix, how is your crown? how many turns does it take to screw down tightly?

From what allerygydoc has said it seems that the movement is just the same old modified ETA 2836 with correct hand stack. THe GMT hand will control the date and the hour hand will function like a GMT hand as its on the bottom of the stack i dont think there is a jumping GMT hand on the rep modified ETA 2836, it just moves in a smooth motion when you change the time. the ETA 2893 movements 'jump' Doc what actually happens when you change the time? do the hands move smoothly or does the GMT hand or hour hand jump per hour when you change th time?

Fantastic food So easy to get around in the country, public transport works like clockwork! They have no real religion. Excellent nanuq, another one of your rollie experiments? Personally im meticulous with my watches. I have got into the habit of taking them off when using a PC as they just annoy me and seem to get in the way when typing. Right now im not wearing a watch. As for the crystals, i have also learnt from my mistakes and when i feel there is any danger of hitting my crystal against anything i always turn my hand so the crystal is facing my body or hold my arm in front of my body, not out stretched like an idiot but just in front of my leg so there is less chance of hitting anything. Im so used to it now i do it without thinking. Ok now you have said to much Joe, people will be thinking ive gone watch crazy....... but arent we all!!!!

This is a little off topic but has this forum and other forums had a turn towards Rollies again. It seemed to be Panerai Panerai Panerai was the only word going around but now every one is talking rollies again. In fact I myself have now got 3 Noob rollies in my collection. This is not a complaint just an observation. And it also seems that even non rollies fans are considering this new GMT ceramic watch.

I am not stupid and as i said i know how to properly screw a crown in The crown i have is not catching any threads. Ill remove the crown and stem today and see if the crown screws in ok or not

Of the members who own the Oris Carlos Coste watch Does your crown still screw down properly? I was just setting the time on the one im going to send back, just can keep my eyes off it, its a really nice watch, but you know QC issues, anyway, was setting the time and now the crown doesnt screw back in. Ive been really careful no to strip the threads etc, i know how to do this properly but its not going in Any others members have this problem? please speak up!

Yes well, i agree with all the points made here. The OCC will be my last rep, i have just bought an Accutron VX 200 with ETA 7750, an absolute bargain Gen at $515. THe quality is unbelievable and no QC issues at all because its Gen, Im not saying that Gens dont have QC issues but hell, Gens dont have all the problems we have with rep QC. Anyway ill keep all informed as to whats happening.

OK the dealer has came through and is sending me a new watch as we speak/type Hopefully when it arrives itll be ok!

Just got the Oris Carlos Coste about 5 mins ago It a really nice watch, nice and thick, good looking case, crisp dial text etc. Am i happy? NO the 18th Date has a problem with the number, there is a strange line down the middle of the 8 the very bottom 6 oclock lume marker isnt in the centre The rubber strap is cracked near the lug and will break eventually Bezel is not tight and wobbles from side to side Other than these QC issues its fine, still havent cracked open the case back to see the movement yet but im overall very disappointed And to top it all off i also ordered another watch which was shipped in the same package. The watch i got wasn't what i ordered! Ill post pics when i can I pretty [censored] off right now and have the hassle of sending back to the dealer! EDIT: looks like i might be sticking to Gens from now on

Also i dont understand the fascination with this correct hand stack, yes it may look more like the real thing but it means that if you adjust the time the Date goes out of sync with the hour hand, meaning that it wont change over at midnight anymore. This is because the GMT hand is controlling the date change Is this correct?

I can understand The Zigmeisters reason for being upset and annoyed. BUT what i dont get is the fact that he is in business. He makes money, yes money by modding etc... In this world there will always be scammers and con artists, the existence of RWG doesnt make it any different. The Zigmeisters articles probably havent really created many scammers. The fact that there are scammers or people who do under par work is good for The Zigmeister and its good business. Im I the only one who is thinking like this? Surely as a business decision your shooting yourself in the foot big time!

Let me just say that im completely blown away by the build quality of this thing. Forget the name. With price of reps theses days i couldnt care less what it says on the dial, it could say [censored] on the dial and i couldnt care less. The fact remains that this watch has a genuine Swiss ETA 7750, the build quality of a Porsche and its only $515 - unbelievable To put this in context for you. I have owned most of the so called super reps here and none even come close. That includes the ceramic HBB's, IWC Slevin, IWC CD and the Patek Nautilus from MBW/MBK, which i believe is your newest addition If this is what i can get for $500 then im not buying any other reps unless the price comes down drastically, which i doubt it will. Just to let all know i have ordered the new Orissss Carlos Costee (spelt wrong on purpose so it doesnt show up on google!). If its the same built quality then ill take it all back, if not, im going to sell all my reps and start buying gens. Enough is enough when prices get crazy and the number of QC problems is huge! EDIT by the way Corgi, why do you have more posts than me and you not supporting this forum?
