  1. Beautiful! Congrats on the build!
  2. Keep em both donerix!
  3. New tat fiddy arrived today Customed only with strap and superlume this time. Great watch, terrible pic:
  4. Indeed! It might be the difference between getting it wet and submersed. In SFA's pics^ you can see the top layer is 1.5-2mm thick. Yet my crystal is less than .5 proud of the bezel. So perhaps this gives it some sort of water protection (heh) unless submersed...? SFA, have you contacted offshore to see if he can get a replacement?
  5. Rain seems to be fine. Mine got entrirely saturated in the rain three days ago - not submersed but really REALLY wet...
  6. Wow! what model is that TT? Is it a gen? Beautiful anyhow!
  7. That's mad! How exactly did you get yours wet? Mine was rainwater and it was nearly three days ago now and still seems good...
  8. Still the Plop:
  9. If mine delaminates i'll personally go see OS and to try to work out a suitable replacement. (mind you, I've been super-closely inspecting mine since this scandal broke and it looks all good - and its been quite wet - not submersed but entirely wet on the facing side)
  10. So, this icon of diving watches can't even be splashed?
  11. You'll find lots in HK and KL, but not in Sing. You'll find the same quality our dealers have (exactly the same) for a couple dollars cheaper after much legwork and haggling and hassling. Fakes are everywhere in HK but Petaling Street (chinatown) in KL will likely be the easiest place for you. Though you won't find the good ones on the street - you'll have to talk to a street merchant asking for high quality or 'swiss machine' and he will take you to a lock-up nearby to the market. A word of warning - don't start haggling if you don't intend to buy. IME, you're better off buying the low qual 'street fakes' for fun while abroad and buying 'high end' from our trusted dealers here. As boring as that sounds it's true. You will only be able to get them slightly cheaper after much hard work on the street and of course there is no recourse for faults like there is with our dealers. But... happy hunting!
  12. That's not a Seadweller. It's the ProjectX custom Submariner. Link
  13. Wow! You weren't kidding! Mine seems fine. Strange - mine sounds almost completely different to the one over in RealReplica's thread (the iphone pic one) also...
  14. Where did yours come from? Will have a close look at my AR now....
  15. Yeah, this sounds quite different to mine (Josh's asian movement). The bezel is really super firm tight - feels great The AR is good, not as good as the Sinn's say, but as good as any other omega rep I own. My clasp is very sturdy (though the quick adjust is tricky - have to move it backwards before forwards to adjust). The rubber on the other hand is very stiff and uncomfortable. Going to try boiling it... I agree the lume is excellent for a rep. Congrats! I'm really enjoying mine. Hope you are too!
  16. Still wearing the Ploppy. I really dig it. Fun watch. Only thing is the rubber is super uncomfortable (very much opposite to the gen) so may have to boil it...
  17. Beautiful! Congrats. It looks awesomes! I LOVE the new style bracelet. I have the rep one and even it is very good!
  18. Depends on the watch it's replicating for me. Don't think I'll bother reluming, say... the Tag Calibre 1 as the gen has weak lume anyway. The PO on the hand, IMO, needs it because the gen is radioactive. All omegas are. I can read books by my 2004 gen moonwatch and its lume areas are minimal. So, for most of my reps, prolly not, but for some it's a must. Edit: As mush as i love mechanicals, I also own an atomic^^ digital (gshock) watch. It's awesome. Most accurate watch in the world. I use it to set my mechanicals.
  19. Ok, haha, thanks. Turns out... I am blind. They must be painted on.
  20. Hey, This looks great! Congrats! Can't find any info on these Bob straps... am I blind? can you share a link please?
  21. Thanks! And yeah, it's a fun watch. I've never really thought of watches as "fun"... but this one is.
  22. Got my asian version today! Really cool and well built rep. Fantastic lume! Seriously the best lume I've gotten on a rep so far. Sadly, mine came with a little srcatch on the orange pusher... oh well. One thing of note is that it is nowhere near as comfortable to wear as the gen.
  23. There is an aftermarket job (unbranded) that i've seen on WUS and ebay that sell for something like 20 bucks... maybe it's softer? If the colour matches you could use the branded strap ring-thingies... I know what you mean though, mine is similar on a 7.5in wrist. I'm hoping it will soften up with time and wear. Either that or I'll just get used to it.
  24. Deliveries galore at mma HQ this week Asian Plop: Best rep lume (for me at least) so far:
  25. Don't worry, you get this even if you're new and happen to have written a basic tute and review or even if you just happen to have bought the Breitling mesh (seriously). Basic manners go a long way.
