Ok, thanks so much guys, i'm sorry to be asking so many questions lately, but I'm just really starting to get into it all.

Thanks Ubi, can i ask just one more question? Is this the correct insert i need: insert link Thanks again!

So I found a bit a of rubber poking out from under the caseback today (was a broken gasket - straight from factory). While I had the back off i had a good look at the rotor because it's very noisy and noticed something that may be odd. So after googling pics I saw that the bearing case in the rotor has a full ring of bearings - right around the circumference, but mine only has three sparse bearings in there that i can see? Is this normal? is it a fault i should be concerned about and contacting the dealer or is it normal? It's an a7750 in a pam Ultimate (non-chrono) Thanks for any experience you may wish to share. Dan. Edit: sorry typo in the topic title should say "A7750"

Hi, I bought a couple of watchmaterial pearls for my n00bmariner and my fantasy metal blue sunburst mariner. Thing is, i buggered up the n00bmariner insert trying to widen the hole to make the pearl fit so now I need a replacement. Does anyone know if the watchmaterial insert will fit without modding/filing/sanding etc? I'm not much of a modder TBH... If not, does anyone know of an insert that will fit both the noobmariner and the watchmaterial pearl without modding? Oh, one more thing, the watchmaterial site doesn't list an insert for a "16610" but has a few that look right - is there another number/code that i should be searching for for a 16610 mariner? If i really do have to do some modding, what is the best (non gen of course) insert that's suitable? Thanks for any advice or insight, hopefully one day I'll stop being nub and won't have to bother you all with silly questions.

georgegrasser - that is awesome, where did it come from? FM CCK on rubber today. This watch rocks! If you don't have one of these you should - awesome replication. Like omegas though , changing steel to rubber is near to impossible unless you buy one of these indespensible (and cheap) spring bar bending tolos from watchbitz They also take the pain entriely out of omega band changing

Where to buy good crown guards?
mastrmindalliance replied to mastrmindalliance's topic in The Panerai Area
Thanks for the tip, I have just asked the seller to send me some HR, well lit images from a few angles and with lever open and closed. Will post the response I get here. -
Ok, I realise now picking just one fave is too constricting, so how about listing your top three, five or even 10 and a brief description? Sound ok? Music is like my second love and I'm always open to new tunes, which is why I want to hear yours. I like just about anything from soul to metal, underground disco to ska and everything in between (except deathmetal and country). Here's mine: Rancid; old school style but modern ska punk Dance Hall Crashers: Dual harmonising vocals. The best example of 'third wave' ska Distillers; female punk (really good and HOT singer - check em out) Skulker; dual female vocals. Australian indie intellectual pop rock Early Midnight Oil; shouldn't need any introduction. Notable mentions; Corrosion of Conformity, the band Metallica should have become post the black album. And Suicidal Tendencies - the best band never to make it.
-
Hi, I search for this, but only found a thread for 'what type of music you prefer’? So rather than wonder what genre you like, I'm wondering what your all time favourite band is? I listened to nothing else but Metallica for about 4 years when I was 18-22. But now, without doubt ,my all time favourite band is Rancid. (Socal ska punk). What's yours?

Haha, I'll be careful not to say it in Greece then (though I never say it anyway). But I have it on good authority by my German native friend, that it’s also "apropos' in German; meaning incidentally or 'by the way' if you like. Though she did mention that there were sweeping language changes to the German language a few years ago and perhaps zee Germans dropped the silent 's'. We use a lot of German derivations in English - kindergarten, hinterland, angst , strafe etc.

Yes, this is Lamb for women. Try Isse Miyake Summer (the blue bottle, for men)

Hehe, besides being tongue in cheek, it wasn't directed at lani (or anyone). Browsed it three times today by non-lani's

I'm no grammar/spelling nazi as you could tell if you chose to peruse my posts here. But I am an editor of novels and magazines and felt is was my duty to post this because I've never come across a forum that is so littered with the word 'apropo'. There is no such word as 'apropo'. There is however a word derived from ancient French 'apropos'; but it means 'incidentally' not appropriately.

Looks like sead/nebmo are out of stock and won't be making any more. Guess I just have to hope toro bravo replies... Nice watch goin6633. Any chance you could post a pic with a straight shot of the CG without the buckle in the way? Cheers! -

Where to buy good crown guards?

Hey, thanks guys. Yep I'm capable of refinishing the lever myself if polished... Have PM'd TB (but no response), and can't find any info on sead/nembo/snebo. Have found plenty posts on the the guards, but no contact info... So after about 6-7 hours research on both the recommendations^ am completely at a loss. -

Oh no! I did enough damage dropping just one movement with dial and hands... Hope your carnage wasn't too severe! -
Hi, as someone else said above, I never really 'got' the gold HBB's but this is Beautiful!... even the DW looks reasonable. I wonder how hard it would be to remove the screw anodisation if it _really_ bothered you. Couldn't they just be acid washed? Anyway congrats, I'm not interested myself but I am interested matter-of-factly in the price... do you mind me asking OP?

Hi, mine does this with the ETA as well. I've been told it's because the stem is too short. The way I deal with it is to wind it backwards before forwards, like the way you avoid threading the tube, except with a tiny bit of downward/inward pressure, and it engages flawlessly every time. Took a couple goes at it to get the process down but hopefully it will work for you too. It works so well that I don't think I'll bother asking Zig to change it next month when it goes to him.

Where to buy good crown guards?
mastrmindalliance replied to mastrmindalliance's topic in The Panerai Area
Thanks SEleven, will check them out at once! Is there anything more to it than just ordering, say, a "polished with brushed lever for 44mm"? -
Wow Golfman that's nice... what model is it? This one again today. Even though the leather is kind of thin and un-gen-like ,it wears pretty cool:

Where to buy good crown guards?

Much appreciated, but can you give a little more info please? The search function is down... Thanks! -
Hi, firstly apologies because I'm sure this info is here somewhere, I couldn't find it (even before the search went down today). I've just picked up the Pam 220 ultimate. It's great but the crown guard and lever aren't as good as the one on my relatively cheap 113 so I'm chasing a really nice one. It's polished with a brushed lever. Does anyone know where buy good ones from? This one will be getting The Zigmeister treatment... Any other mods it needs? Thanks for any input!
