  1. I've ordered one of these (the V2) will let you know what it's like in a couple days!
  2. Hi, I own this watch, well the jap built version, it's awesome. If you can, get the built in the Japan rather than Thailand verson. You can tell by the model number and that its says on caseback where it's built. The jap built G's often appreciate in value, check WUS for all things gshock. Here's a wrist shot on a 7.5in wrist. Regular g's are decptively smaller than they look in photography but this one is bigger than most G's. It's tough solar atomic which means no batteries ever! It is one of the most, if not the most accurate watch in the world. This is my most favourite ever g-shock. G-shocks are near to impossible to kill. have a look at the tests on youtube, you'll be amazed! Oh and you never have to set this one manually. Great choice!
  3. Hi, part three: "Timelines". its about watches through history. Timely, it contains the breitling ad for the Chronmat B01, just released as rep. Download here One more feature to come... "The Face of Time". About interesting dials and how they're made.
  4. Ahh... thank-you. that will help a lot (not just for this purchase) much appreciated Mike!
  5. I'm looking at getting the Chrono as well as well as the non-chrono I already have. Have been staying away from the 7750's for now because of the a7753 rumors. But this one doesn't seem to have the SDW... Is it a trick of the eye? Does this have SDW or not? If it doesn't, am I missing something obvious with 7750's? I thought they all had the SDW problem.
  6. This beauty just back from service, been missing it a lot so Thursday was another gen day.:
  7. you won't be disappointed. Pretty sure this one is considered a "super-rep". The bracelet in kinda long. I have 7.5 in wrist and with all removable links it's still a bit loose on cold days. Gotta wear it like a pimp!
  8. I voted yes If ever sell something here (unlikely, I give em away to friends/relly's, or let collect dust), I will leave the price.
  9. I'm single, but my female friends love the SOH I think they actually like the mesh bracelet rather than the watch itself.
  10. Great topic. Any Franck Muller... But the king Cortez is exceptional. it's a dress watch but probably won't go under a cuff (it's huge and tall). So,l now I own it, while I love to wear and look at it, it's never left the house. heheh.
  11. Hope everyone had a good day! Put this back together and wore on wednesday:
  12. Yeah, apparently Sinn bought the "navitimer" rights when Brietling went bankrupt. Here's a nice looking one
  13. Great pics! Not sure that hotlinking them to this site is great idea though. Photogs get very picky about that sort of thing and seeing as it's Rolex sponsored...
  14. My personal take would be to have someone local do it. Even the shopping mall/battery and band style store should be able to do this. Last time I had it done it cost me about $15 edit: sorry I misread (thought it was the dots on the dial) You should be able to do this yourself if haven't lost the parts. Otherwise the dealer may send them out, or may want the watch returned. Depends on the dealer really.
  15. Cool thread even if old, Made me think of the attached. What did you end up wearing?
  16. I thought, rather than start a new topic I'd dig this one up... What about watches with no second hand at all? I know there's some for the ladies, but are there any for the gents?
  17. And it was 15 minutes short of midday ( that's 12 hours into Tuesday) here in Aus when ubiquitous posted... This one today:
  18. Nice one! Orient make some pretty nice dress watches too. This one looks like it's taken some styling cues from both the PO and the DSSD. Do you mind me asking what it retails for?
  19. Wore this today. Going to try to wear gens for a couple days. Haven't really worn gen anything in months. hehe
  20. As much as I love to look at this watch, after trying it on a couple times, I doubt I'll wear it much. The mesh is SUPER heavy, seems about 8mm's thick! And the grain of the mesh is big, maybe like 5mm. There is no mistaking the bracelet. It's really something. The other noticeable thing is how high it wears. The DSSD wears high, but this thing is TALL. I'll still buy the rep though.
  21. Here here. I've learned the hard way that just about any time i open a watch with any intent more than to remove dust, is going to be a BIG mistake. I have an eye for repair/modding... But not the hands. The worst mistake I made, would be trying to remove the hands from Sinn U1 four hours after I got it. Didn't even habe time to enjoy it before ruining it (broke the seconds hand off in the canon pin - or broke the canon pin - not sure) Why? well, because i'd just bought a Bergeon hand tool, thats why. No other reason. Got to say thanks to Josh for his kindness here.
  22. I'm considering this as my first Tag (rep or otherwise) in 20 years. Would love to hear the thoughts of someone with the v2...
  23. Wore this on Sunday, should be only days away from Zig lume and service transplant:
  24. Great thread. I think the Asian Sinn's (U1 and U2) could be added to this. Would love to see it updated!
