Oh ok, I knew about the happy feet, just not the dial print. Thanks!

Sorry but I'm missing the point here... What exactly is wrong with the dial? I'm concerned because I just ordered the Orange bezel chrono from Josh. Thanks.

Replacement DSSD insert correct 10
mastrmindalliance replied to lanikai's topic in The Two R's Watch Reviews - Lani & Ubi
Yep, that's the plan. Not sure about the bracelet, because the v5 has a different finish on some of the glidelock clasp parts. But have just remembered that the V5 uses dodgily curved or bent standard sized springbars - not the rolex sized ones as the Ultimate does. Drilling them would be beyond me. Thanks for the input, but has anyone reading acheived such a mod? -
Replacement DSSD insert correct 10
mastrmindalliance replied to lanikai's topic in The Two R's Watch Reviews - Lani & Ubi
Does anyone know how this compares to to the Eurotimez one, in quality/accuracy and in fitting for the ultimate? Josh is actually my preferred dealer but ETZ owe me money... so I was thinking about getting a v5 dssd bracelet and a couple inserts from ETZ for my ultimate. -
What does howdy mean? G'day from Bris.

Here should be a pic taken of my Pam 133 at the New York Bar in Shinjuku, the amazing, skyscraping bar that Bill Murray spends most his time at in Lost In Translation. Instead, Windows 7 just fsucking ate it (and a lot of my other holiday snaps)!

Nice one! Congrats!

Yep, voted for Toad, JMB (had to research posts for that one) and Offshore. And yeah, it's NYE here. The US centric wristcheck timeframe and consequent thread locking seem abit unreasonable, given the GMT (unless of course like 90% here are American - would be an interesting to see a breakdown). It's not pretty but here's a timezone map.: Given work and sleeping commitments us Oceanians/Antipodeans and probably Asians mostly miss out... Happy New Year!

I know it's not really the sort of thing for this forum, but when in Rome (well Tokyo)... Been after this particular model for a while. Tough Solar Atomic. It's a bit rare and sort after (GW7900B1JF). And it's BIG for a G: Lume Shot Will actually sport this for celebrations tonight, Kanpai! Happy New Years RWG!

These lists sound more like they were compiled with data from Asia...

Upgraded DSSD V5 from Eurotimez looks much better...
mastrmindalliance replied to ThinkBachs's topic in The Rolex Area
Apparently these are actually n00bfactory (like you, read on another forum. Makes sense to me, as the bezel click has the same ratchety, un-smooth sound as the n00bmariner. -
Been chasing a rubber oyster style strap for a seiko project, and theirs look about the best i've seen. Good price too! Thanks for the heads up!

I haven't bought one yet, but intend to, and have been doing my research from within our trusted delaers... Apparently they had many iterations making the j12, and particular problems or generations of the bracelet. While this looks close from what I can see (and I'm certainly no expert, so grain of salt all this) it doesn't have the correct construction bracelet. It's better than the first couple generations or cheaper ones, But there is a rep version out there with the correct bracelet construction. So, in my (unexperienced but well interweb researched) opinion... it depends on how picky you are. Attached is the reference pic I saved of the supposed "correct bracelet". But if you buy this one you've picked above, i'd really like to know what you think of it once you've seen it in the flesh!

No problems all! I read the complications piece yesterday and it's a very good read. Will scan and upload that when get home for Christmas. -
Hey RoninQ, that Seiko is beautiful! Do you know the model number? I realise it may not be easy (after chasing the right orange monster for 8 months before snaring it, I know it can be hard)... but, I'd love to nab one of those. Thanks for any info! Dan

Class of 2009 Give Away Raffle ~ ST. Exupery
mastrmindalliance replied to lanikai's topic in General Discussion
Great idea, great prizes, and great that I'm a 2009 n00b!... Great! Joined in July, got right into it in about September (with the standard n00bmariner of course). Now I'm such an RWG tragic, went out and bought an EEEpc yesterday to I could check in while on holidays, kehehehe. Thanks for the opportunity Perfect Clones, Trusty watch, PeteM and of course Lani! -
On holidays in the tropics, so dressing down with the U1. Outer reef snorkelling tomorrow will require something actually capable, so it will be the Orange Monster.
-
Hey Lani, are the other colour configs of the Skyland Avenger considered super-reps, or just the black steel? Also, is that the original strap picured? Thanks!

Hi, The Hour Glass mailed me their new magazine. The Hour-Glass is probably Asia-Pacific's most high end and well known watch boutique chain, The mag itself is beautifully presented at 68 pages in full gloss, perfect-bound (adhesive bound) standard mag ( THGM_#2-sized.pdf
