Awwww... cute.
Wearing this today. Before I came here I disliked the style of Breits, Lately though I've become a total Breitling convert. This one today:
Hi,although the pic doesn't really show it, the wings logo (and other engravings) are starting to collect dirt on my OR strap.
I thought about using warm soapy water and a baby toothbrush, but knowing how easily these clasps mark, maybe that not the best way...
How do you clean yours?
Thanks in advance for any tips!
Hahahah
Seriously though, The DSSD actually wears kinda small. Not sure why, maybe it's the bracelet dimensions. For me it seems to wear tall, but not big. I have 7.5in wrists.
There's no flaming going on here. Just for the record, I'm not saying people are walking round saying "hey, look at my rolex".
Like Agrippa^, I'm saying people 24,000 people here aren't walking around saying "hey, look at my replica".
Basically, I'm stating the obvious.
I agree, If I'm shopping for something while dressed down and the assistant is giving tude or talking down, I pick their brains for the info info/details I need to know about the item... then go buy it elsewhere from a helpful/nice assistant.
I'm not taking crap/tude from from salesperson.
Wearing this one before it goes for relume this arve.
First impression by my watchsmith was super impressed, says the movement looks the real deal and it has incablock. He can't wait to take a closer look (and authenticate the movement)
My 113
Good on you!
As long as you aren't giving away details that could affect our hobby, such as this site or our dealer details, then giving a little pie-face to those who deserve it once in while can't hurt.
My mates know my reps are reps, so does my low-end watchsmith - relume for 50 bucks - woohoo! But I would'nt dare take one into my horoligist/high-end watchsmith.
I've never had to explain to anyone else. but... c'mon, peeps here don't buy them and take the logo's off.... so I reckon anyone who states they don't wear it like it real is bullsh!tting bigtime.
I sure wear em like they're real.
In the last 7 months I've purchased 12 watches and one bag (LV speedy) from Jos. I've only had to make one return due to faulty product.
I'd call that recent. I call that pretty damn reliable.
Another dealer I've used (but never again) has sent me nothing but hundreds of dollars worth of faulty product.
He even fixed My Sinn U1 FOC when I buggered it up being a n00b.
Jos is the best.
Great review, thanks! And timely as this on my my hitlist.
Maybe you can save me an email... What's turning the bezel like? Is it ratchety and noisy like a noobmariner or V5 DSSD, or smooth, firm and quiet like a Dssd Ult?
thanks!
Wearing the "GPO" for giggles today.
I'm amazed at how the movment in this Silix special seems to sweep smother and have longer power reserve than the 2813.
I can't say, but I can say that that is the buttfugliest, queerest leather strap I've ever seen.
I've had skidmarks in my jocks I'd rather strap a watchhead to.
Even before finding this place, variety has always been my thing with gens. This hobby makes that variety a little broader I guess.
So, as others above have mentioned, above it would be very hard to pick an exit watch.
But, WOW! Thanks to PeteM, if forced to, I now have one. I'll have one of what Pete's having.
I think so too! Thats why my DSSD Ult (pre316f steel) dial, hands and pearl are being re-lumed by Zigggy for my new correct 10,316 ultimate! Should look a treat.
And I know it's its confusing, but the "Ultimate" is a very different watch from the "V5". The V5 feels like a kids toy in build quality (not looks). It's tinny and clanky compared to the Ultimate which solid, smooth and sturdy.
I've had them all.
My new DSSD with 316f and correct 10 arrived from Josh today. I was skeptical about the new steel, but it does appear brighter and perhaps whiter. I got the ETA vers though. No fancy pgotography here, just out in the daylight then auto-toned (auto tone only - not contrast or colour) in PSD.
Here are my comparison pics, the old ultimate (pre 316f) is always on the left and has no watch head as its with The Zigmeister! I gave them both just a rudimentary rub over with jewellers cloth.
