  1. Couple more pics... Gen: Redial: Gen: Redial: Gen: Redial:
  2. Just to follow up- I see your 16610 bezel problem is only isolated to a certain range on the rotation; in that case, there may be some ratchet teeth missing or damaged on the bezel. In that case, you may need to replace after all; a quick removal and inspection will confirm if that is indeed the issue or not (sorry, I just re-read your post and caught that)...
  3. Hey buddy, For your modification work, since you want to stay in the EU for customs reasons, I would probably recommend Domi/bricciola for the job As for the 16610 bezel- If it's gone bi-directional, it's probably just a matter of adjusting the click spring. It's possible that it's out of alignment and not engaging in the ratchet teeth, or it may need to be re-bent, or replaced if it is damaged. I don't think you need a new bezel assembly at this point, unless you just want to replace with gen for the aesthetic change and difference in feel. For the 93250- I believe it does fit, but the SELs might not be as snug as a fit as the WM9 pieces. watcher did this swap on one of his WM9's, I seem to recall; I think he would be a good person to inquire on about this since he has first hand experience. For the 5513 stuff- If you are looking for a dial, I might have one that may work for you. It's not perfect, but it's very usable. The 5513 uses the 1520 inside- This is the non-chronometer movement. Beat rate is 19800bph, so any 2846 or 2783 will be a close match (slightly faster at 21600bph). Hope this helps! Cheers, //ubi
  4. I do miss it from time to time. It was a great piece to wear while swimming and a really fun watch. Maybe down the road, it will be time for another
  5. I would agree- Good SELs and fit are one of those details you don't want to overlook
  6. Unfortunately, just a one off. Kinda pricey too, considering. But looks fairly good
  7. W is right; Mrs. Ubi is by far the better half! She's got a heart of gold Indeed- Just the white dial remains in my Daytona collection. Time to diversify a bit
  8. Period correct Ehhh... Well, since I have the gen dial, I'll have to live with the gen The custom dial will likely find a new home (if my friend wants it)...
  9. Just a quick, 3 pic comparison of a genuine 5513 dial and a custom dial I had commissioned/painted. Please note the overall details... Font, coronet, markers, etc... All in all, the repaint is pretty close; only major difference on first inspection is the color (the repaint is much too dark) and the dial texture is far more pronounced on the gen. The custom dial has Zigmeister lume, BTW
  10. So, was 10 links plus micro extension enough to fit?
  11. Absolutely gorgeous! Look at those crisp case lines... A prime example of the kind of vintage that's desired! Lucky son of a gun...
  12. Vintage 165.024 for today...
  13. I'd say 7 - 10 business days?
  14. The gen uses a 2500, which is based on the ETA 2892. You can retrofit a 2892 into a uPO with some work, which would result in a more gen looking movement. However, it really doesn't add a lot of benefit since it's behind a close caseback...
  15. FWIW, there are some 93160's with round 3's...
  16. Here's a pic of my rep 93150 (580's are gen): Your end links and clasp look good; the links on yours look correct in terms of shape and how thick the mid links are (reps are usually quite thin in that regard). The stamping looks questionable, however; the reference should be crisp: Very odd. There was discussion on a round 3 93150 on VRF, but the bracelet featured in that topic looked odd and not typical/consistent with Rolex characteristics. I came away from that thread without conclusion; no one else seemed to have much input on it either. Not quite sure what to think, as we all know that the best (and worst) thing with Rolex is that there's always a surprise or two to be discovered. If you can swap for an example with a flat 3 ref, I'd go that route. Better to have something certain than undetermined...
  17. I think I even saw a gen arabic dial up for sale recently... That would be a nice topper to this watch methinks...
  18. Absolutely stunning. The contrast of the lume with the dark finish of the case really makes this one pop. I'm of the mindset of leaving FGD's dials uncoated as well. I love the way the surface just illuminates under light...
