I guess I'll consider myself lucky then Just purchased a brand new Ti Seawolf from a dealer that is old stock. Hooray.

The genuine is 36mm, but this one seems a bit bigger to my eye... Maybe more towards 37mm. I need to measure it...

LOL! Sure... It could be better. But we're talking REP here! For the money... It's a great buy. Sure, there are some flaws... But what rep doesn't have flaws? Overall, it's finished quite well, considering the many different facets of the case, bezel and bracelet. BTW... Bracelet fits me just fine... No binding, and is quite comfortable to wear...

Hard decision. Just get both...

I'm trying to think back to my old Faldos- It's been a year or so since I owned one, so my memory is a bit fuzzy. The case seems to be quite similar from memory; particularly in the way that it wears. I need to measure it, but overall, it is quite nice, and the profile is quite thin. My wrist is 6.83" in diameter. For it's size, it's got a very nice weight to it. It's quite substantial for case and bracelet of rather slim dimensions. I'll need to weigh it on the scale the next time I'm at the P.O. For the first time in quite a while, I'm wearing something different than my Franken Daytona. I'm usually used to having to mod my watches, but this is one I think I'll leave alone. The bracelet and case are well finished; nice crisp edges, clean transitions between brushed and polished surfaces, and the dial is exquisite, especially when the light catches the bezel to contrast with the iridescence of the blue dial (which appears black in certain low light conditions). I'm thinking I need to buy a spare of this watch... And perhaps soem of the other dial colors as well...

There are some slight flaws, but the only thing that really bugs me is the transition from the case to the bracelet. There is a pretty large step there; the transition should be nice and even. Perhaps the edges of the lugs can be slightly milled to even out the step...

Thanks, gang This one's been the majority shareholder for time on the wrist... Keeping excellent time and is a great conversation piece (even non-WIS seem to be interested in it). The Daytona has a certain charm... Not exactly found... But built. Started with a genuine case, refinished dial, and added an El Primero 400 from an Ebel 1911 Toni- Still working on it. I know of 14k solid gold cases, but 18k is a rare find these days. I know they're still out there... It's just a matter of finding it. Agree, Oli. This was one I didn't mind taking my time with. Finding the right movement was the most important thing for me; I had the opportunity to buy a number of EP 400's, but most were the 17 jewel version, needed overhauling as they were very old and in most cases did not work etc. I'm glad I waited for the 31 jewel, and the movement was factory new old stock as well. Perhaps good things do come to those who wait? Heehee... Thanks, Warren. If you do get a gen, be sure to look specifically for models that fall within the following serials: W, T, N (black dials) = possible patrizzi dials (chocolate brown subdials). Check to make sure dial is original to the watch; there are many that had been replaced by RSC's during service, and there are also some artifially browned subdials floating around as well. A, P = last production models of the 16520 Zenith; P is the transitional year, so fewer were made of this serial than any other. Personally, I feel the Zenith Daytonas and the vintage V72 Daytonas are the ones to have. Even though each model were made for many years, they'll most likely be much rarer than their new 1165xx counterparts; since Rolex now has an in house movement, you can bet that the new Daytona will be in production for a very long time while Rolex recovers their cost to produce and develop the 4130 caliber.

Very nice!! Can't beat a WM custom! I also like the 45mm case.... Fits the wrist quite nicely methinks But if a WM 47mm 3646 came around at the right price, I'd have to pick it up out of sheer principle of the matter...

Who knows. All I know is what WU's website quotes as the fee, which is beyond anyone's control. If you think it's unfair, they'll likely say 'use someone else'. Also... I thought I should mention, as I use WU quite often in my transactions with DW- Sometimes, WU will make you get on the phone with their customer service people to 'confirm' the transaction. It is very important that you are careful with how their questions are answered, as I believe they are very curious about transactions taking place to certain destinations for reasons that are within suspiscion. I don't know if they trend transactions with certain recipients which receive transfers from multiple originations from abroad; I only bring this up, as I've had to call WU a few times myself, and each time they were very interested in knowing if I knew the individual persnally, if my reason for transfer was personal, business, or a purchase of an item, etc. If this were to happen, just be cognizant of the situation, and always make sure to tell them that you are not purchasing anything, as they will immediately decline your transfer.

I forget who the seller is, but there is someone on eBay who sells an assorted lot of 500 - 1000 misc. watch screws for $25 (if I recall correctly). In this mix, I believe there are maybe 10 sets of 4 of the exact same screws used for the Radiomir lugs (count may vary- I am not certain how the assortment is determined; it could be completely random). If I find that seller again, I'll PM the link to you Zeiss....

I've said it before and I'll say it again; WU fees vary depending on what state you're sending from. Prior post in this thread...

Pre-Triplock would be correct for an original... But the Triplock with the external tube gasket is a valid replacement from either Rolex UK or Bex...
