no diss to andrew but i wouldn't recommend this one
first of all, why would you care to get a swan neck on a watch that does not have a display back?
second, why spend that much on a 'hold over watch' - spend half that on a cn movement (sans swan neck) and be done with it.
last, it's not even a 005. an 005 is all stainless. an 005 in PVD is a 195.
best of luck to ya
it has been said a thousand times, but it is so interesting to see how well you are treated while wearing a nice watch.
and if you think that the panerai virus has a hold of you, you really don't know what it truly means until you handle the real deal. cool story.
i agree - the elbow was completely classless.
i would have said the argentina vs. s&m (i coined that by the way) match was the best so far, but the complete lack of effort from s&m in the second half took away a bit for me. i guess once you get to the point of complete and utter decimation effort goes out the window. it was great to see messi and tevez (my favorite from his boca days) and that was a thrill as well.
ghana had some amazing opportunities and could have easily come away with 3 or 4 goals. great great match!
one interesting stat on sportscenter last night had the usa in the world cup a clear cut favorite as far as 'what are you interested in' over both the NBA finals and the us open.
perhaps he's basing his opinions of the weight of a rolex off of his yachtmaster. but i doubt someone that doesn't know rolex would be able to rattle off a vintage daytona reference on the spot.
but then again maybe he was pulling your chain?
well if you want vintage you can go with the asian 7750, the venus (which is often incorrectly referred to as lemania) or a cheap day/date faux chrono.
last but not leat you could get a a bi-compax dw, but those aren't as easy to obtain.
what is MOST important to you? reliability of the movement? visual accuracy? functionality of the movement? ease of the transaction?
each has + and -
i'd suggest doing a bit more research before having someone tell you what you should or should not buy. what i like or will overlook may not be what you like or are able to live with. best of luck in your search.
