You would have to sell a lot of tickets to buy it mate JV is Jules Verne, it was a special strap released by OP in 2005 on the PAM 216, this was to mark the 100th anniversary of Jules Verne's death... the 216 is a lidded watch. It was the first OEM strap to use Nubuck Alligator hide from that release OP made the strap available as an accessory and followed that in 2007 with the black version.

Mate I werent criticizing the pic.... I just meant the only way you could really appreciate that dial in that watch was to have it in your hand.... I can picture it in my head and I know no matter how well you pic that watch you will never capture how great it must look and feel on your wrist

I personally went with the BK... then put the Trevor bezel insert in it... relumed it and repolished it and got Uwe to AR the crystal... must say I am very happy with it

When you say ... 'tapped' can you give a little more detail.. Is it a shake? Is it a tap, knock in a certain spot? etc Does it work after winding? or do you wind and then have to 'tap' it?

Yes mate thats the area I was referring to.... but given B's skill and eye for detail going by his previous work I made the comment .... Splitting hairs ... no mate.... attention to detail...anal... pedantic ... yes guilty as charged But arent we all in our own way especially in this section... I am exactly the same with my own watches... and it is a PIA for me... but in no way am I being negative as it stands the case looks fantastic and I hope I made that point in my previous post

Mate... with the greatest respect.... thats a pretty poor thread question... Come on my friend .... try showing us you have been doing at least some research on here.... list some OTB models you like or prefer... list some flaws There are plenty of great guys on here with great rafts of great and qualitative info but you need to give us some idea that you have made some effort yourself and what type of thing other than movement that you are after.... It just feels like you just want to know what looks best on your wrist so people think you are wearing a gen and that you want someone else here who has spent many hours researching and learning about models to do all the work for you... so you can pull it off to your mates... If I am wrong then I apologise... but threads like these just bring out the sceptic in me....

I totally agree W.... Now what was the expression I remember reading in an article recently..... PAM owners are just EuroTrash... I think Jeff is responsible for all the finance guys in NYC being aspirational to PAMs !!!!!

Mate as always your work is great and really takes this game up a notch.... I think the reshaping is great.... But in all honesty I aint so convinced about the amount of solder especially around the crown... perhaps it the pics... Dont get me wrong mate you have done a fantastic job and certainly this aint something I would attempt or be capable of... so in no way am I trying to be negative but I really think knowing how skillful you can be that those areas could do with a little more work when you have the time... Thanks for sharing
