I think this just highlights what we as individuals read into what is written... From my POV all I read was a bit of banter..... nothing more I made my first point in the hope that M might start considering the rest of the watch after spotting one of the movements flaws.... the second was in reply to HTs comment and the need to be aware and take responsibility for what your buying before you buy it... again something that is relevant to us all but especially any new guy.. W only added his WTB post as he is trying to corner the market in rep parts for his new global watch repairing empire ...

The first release didn't have silvered sub dial pins but these can be modded. The bracelet can be sorted with grit paper and scotch brite. Gioarmani did a how to for Rolex bracelet but principle is the same. You can contact the servicer to see if you can get the chrono sorted assuming it was done in the service he should do this for you and at the same time get the pins done. You can polish the CG pin again there are how to's for this But overall just enjoy it mate, it looks great congrats

Hopefully you more senior guys will know this off the top of your head... Did Palpatine produce only one type/variation of crown in terms of thickness, teeth, bezel, cup etc From going back till original release I seem to get the feeling there was an original limited release which wasnt great in terms of bezel etc then more were produced with improvements in this respect but throughout this they remained oversized at 2.1.. Though I got the impression a 1.9 approx or certainly thinner was produced later on...is this correct or are all P crowns 2.1 and just variations on bezel etc In addition was the cup size ever changed.... were these gen deep....0.55(I think) or 0.3 like Sl of T's And lastly if you have read through this, with gens the thickness could be varied by a fraction ...1.9 to 2.05 ish but did the bezelling and teeth angles (I cant recall correct term;) ) I am asking more in relation to PreAs I have noticed in a number of reference pics that thickness seem to vary but of course this could be an optical illusion given most PreV cases were slightly bigger than PreAs and the CGs were bigger in arc and so were the openings within them so crowns may look smaller/thinner in the cartier CGs.... Mate no matter which lo beat you get it will Tick quite loudly...this is louder in the 177 because of its materials... You will reduce this by servicing the movement.. You will solve it by replacing the movement.. DSNs doesnt stand up overall to these latest PAMs

From the pics I looked at yesterday.. yes mate... I saw 196 Gs and 188Gs with same case as a few 162Fs and to all intent and purpose the same CB sans the DL...

Apparently the latest is that a V3 dial has arrived.. Work is progressing on the CG lever and pin, Crystal is sorted and things are more or less good to go This is third prototype sent by maker, though Angus aint 100% on whats been changed

Good pick out, never noticed that before.... cant say I am certain on the Date pusher but having looked at some 188Gs you seem to be right also the 162s seem to have a different pusher.... The 188G doesnt have the Luminor but changes on the H to Luminor Daylight... I guess because G, as you know, was a pretty transitional period with OP that the first release had a different design and then changed during the series which was then followed through to G, H, I At first I thought it might be a throw back to the original DL design but of course thats officially pre-DL so that CB wouldnt mention DL... unless of course some of the later ones did.. I think the one with the circular and those of the 188 were old 162 cases What do you think? And those had a few CBs made sans Luminor for initial release?
