  1. +1 for being another [censored]...I am still laughing This watch means nothing to me Marty (As in, I aint never seen one)...can you tell us anymore mate on the watch and how you got it etc...
  2. FireMan Fred..... I could never get the hang of the riding position.... Not really designed for taller blokes same as most bikes but more noticeable on the Duke's for me... Same as MVs and A's...

Sorry mate but Non matching refers to the dials........Non matching was a consequence of the lume reacting with the dial varnish which occurred on some dials hence why you see an orangey looking vintage lume rather than a creamy looking one... According to the gurus on risti the non matching and matching followed a rule on the thick and thin numbered dials..but thats another thread..
  4. Is that in the sense that everyone there is called Hey-Zeus....
  5. Lubbly Jubbly... trade that for a gen 90 CB and a few dollars Sweet watch mate

Admittedly there are a few more mods needed if you were being picky/anal but from the gen whether matching or non matching dials the lumed hands should not match the dial lume.... Though the true T pattina is hard to achieve with modern luming techniques though Zig an achieve this
  7. There are 2 camps on the 88 mate.. The Ultimate or the DSN...these are the best 2 OTB you can get..... But believe me mate there are loads of threads on these discussions...try different search words mate...as this has been debated on many occasions My personal choice is the Ulitimate....I would then relume it and would be happy to wear it...though I would want to do some others mods but that would be my personal choice.. You can also get one from Vac who will relume it, recrown it, refinish CG and DW mod but you will pay more as he is doing those mods... OTB go Ultimate, the main differences with DSN is the colour of Sub dial....DSN is too silvery and Ulrtimate is too dark but Ultimate has better Cyclops, CG and Crown plus I think case IMHO I think though you have better choices of great OTB reps for less or similar money...The 288, 212, 253, the DLs, 219, etc etc I would settle for these or wait for the new 104......I am sure once this arrives a GMT wont be long behaind... There will be a lot coming very soon mate....
  8. The rumour was P was deported from US due to crimes against good taste...but it's only a rumour ;)
  9. I would search Witschi manuals mate as these were all made by them under the Elma brand... Or try contacting someone like Delph Electronics.....he does repairs and maintenance for these machines..
  10. Nice Share Val... I really liked the video..the imagery and that relating to the watch and its power source.... his glasses are something you would just keep staring at if you met the guy!! Its a nice position on the wrist, I like the shape not only of the dial position but the case its self... The movement priniciple is fantastic and is very much an "Architects" watch....Form and Function...!!! I like it...just not sure I would wear it...
  11. Everything can be uber modded...but you really need to use the search button mate...as to write that answer here would go on and on and on !!! Or you need to refine your question based on your research...
  12. Nice shots.............Again I think I would prefer the first shot with a darker background...but hey thats just me....Still great shots mate Thanks for sharing....Sweet watch too !!!
  13. Thats why I mentioned before that you really need to strip these down and oil bath them etc, once you do that you will have a serviceable piece of kit I am just getting the last bit of the review together so hope to have it to you soon..sorry for delay ... I am struggling with my IT skills and the marking up the pics
  14. One of them is in the pics I posted
  15. The rumours have been the new 7753 187 plus the 000 and 104 but a while back I was told of a V2 MN and 127 based on a dealers gen... But I wouldnt be surprised to see some Rads... Then of course theres the new 312,329, 359 etc but that wont be available across the board... Of course the choice is limitless as now makers have the case sets etc it really comes down to dials and DWs/Cyclops
  16. You can also buy a decent set of bars and screws with washers from Panatime. Another great way of finding dropped screws is using a black light...it will spot any size screw in a deep s hag pile from a couple of feet The rep straps are well known for being to short for a lot of guys...indeed the 288 straps have been remarked upon by loads of guys on here...
  17. I was chatting to a few guys all said the 000 will be out in April but interestingly they all said there were 5 new models coming but hard as I tried they wouldnt be drawn on the exact models..
  18. That dial is simply gorgeous mate....the gen is the only way to go with these white dials....Lovely Sweet movement nice engravings... Congrats mate
  19. I have never seen one of those in my hand myself but I always liked that style but I only thought these were the 40mm (20mm) deployants...? Are they available in 22mm? Of course just using a buckle is one option but I do like deployants as they reduce the wear on the strap and you dont end up with those horrible creases etc plus I find them more comfortable personally
  20. Well done D for having a pop though I am not sure from which side you are numbering... I guess the left? Those little cut outs that are on them, though its not very clear, these are the catchers that the butterfly arms pop into... and yes you are right this one doesnt have them The open/closing action can be poor on the reps thats true mate but if you make sure the screws on the release tabs are tightened and you oil it they can be just as good...my gens catch sometimes too in fact one rep there has never caught whereas the gen in the pic has...
