  3. Great idea mate Looks great... Though whats that inscription ? I recognise it but cant place it!! Bet it looks great on the desk...but which way does it face?? Great share
  4. I never realised that this would happen to the extent that it meant closing the section...its a shame especially on those doing it.. Hopefully there is way this can be resolved as its a great way of raising needed funds for the forum....
  5. Great share mate Funny though I am sat here studying the cases etc ...What keeps running through my head is the setting and circumstances of those shots..?? I can see what looks like a Screwdriver case in the back ground and of course the setting and now I am picturing the way these shots came about...
  6. I have a couple of these myself though I havent used them in ages....They are great straps Congrats mate Lovely strap
  7. Here's a couple of links that show the same stuff but I can't find the original store I bought from as it was a while ago..but hopefully you get the idea http://www.cobblersupplies.com/servlet/the-869/SUEDE-%26-NUBUCK-CLEANER/Detail http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUEDE-NUBUCK-CLEANER-KIT-BRUSH-ERASER-BAR-/290355302097 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/10-Seconds-Suede-Nubuck-Cleaner-Kit-Bar-and-Brush-/150500778425?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item230a8ba1b9
  8. Like that song ..... But its all relative even if you don't understand. Well its all understood, especially when you don't understand. And its all just because, even if we don't understand, then let's all just believe.
  9. I am sure most of you guys know this but just in case I thought I would share what I have found to be the best method of cleaning my Nubuck straps... I was advised sometime ago to use a fine grit paper but I found this was a pretty destructive method..... so I managed to find a commonly available nubuck cleaning eraser bar....I know in the US it can be sourced from any shoe shop but in UK it is slightly harder though I found a source on eBay... The great thing about this bar is if you have say a surface stain like toothpaste then lighly rubbing with the bar will remove it without disturbing the grain of the nubuck, if the stain is more saturated, such as grease etc then rubbing harder across the whole strap will still maintain its look and remove the stain.... I think its a great way of maintaining your nubuck especially the croc nubuck where grain is everything... Here is a pic of the kit I mean Here is some pics of a recent fix, the first shows a grease stain by the lugs the second shows it once removed...
  10. Great looking bike..love it Looking at that front wheel that baby has been built to handle at speed.....unlike most Great share
  11. I think its worth mentioning again with D's comments that generally, given we are working with rep dials etc, is not to get too hang up on the CP itself but relate its height more to the dial thickness and or base plate...eg if you are only using a top plate then remember whatever CP you use will vary upon completion to gen or if you are using a thin base plate again the same....etc etc In a perfect world the smaller CP is correct on all PreA and PreVs but in the rep world remember the variations that could influence the finished height ... Hope that makes sense
  12. I know this aint much help mate...but they do exist both in UK and EU....I cant give you exacts but I remember finding such sites when I was googling for dial refinishers and dial reprinters etc... Also suggest you try the vintage forums mate... Good Luck
  13. Very nice Rob...wear it well mate Great combi with that dial and Ti Remember though a H3 aint necessary on a PreA look same as PreV Though if you like the high CP then do it mate Hope you are well mate
  14. Have you any idea on the type of AR? Or the likely hue or lack of it? Great work mate and thanks for your efforts
  15. I wish I could get clarity like that in my wristie shots (((
  16. Angus is using a gen and he does say so... The pics of the rep are only prototype pics which the factory used for comms with dealers etc these are not the final watch though pretty close... the delay is that the factory is waiting for some parts once they have these the new rep will be built and released...
  17. +1 Where do the tweezers go ??
  18. Rob or rather J gets very busy and trying to fit that in with their regular jobs means sometimes replies can be delayed, if they can they will always reply However if you send parts or watch with tracking then the shipping info states confirmation of receipt wont be given.... Did you send with tracking? if not then just be patient you will get a reply
  19. No mate your destro is upside down !!!!! ;)
