Total Kudos to you mate...I am not so sure I would of had the balls to give my opinion based on my post...Respect mate I had these in my hand and had to keep checking a couple to be sure so its even harder on the pics, it is just interesting that even us guys can be mistaken so it proves these things aint always as flawed as we make out...including me !!

You really need to try the Vintage forums mate... But assuming its kosher and all original which is simple to tell as everyting is vewable and depending if its solid gold etc plus which repeater or complications it has then I have seen these at a few hundred up to a few grand. Problem is the current market/economy might limit its potential so if it doesnt need to be sold it might be better to wait mate.

Mate...you aint alone!!! Even I got confused whilst I was taking the pics and reviewing the pics especially with 2 of them !! I think the pic highlights just how good even the worse one is...I just wish I still had the first deployant I had...but it was so bad in terms of the engraving that I sold it but it would of been good for these puroposes... I aint looking for anyone to make a fool of themselves here or try to be clever, believe me guys I do that enough on here for all of us ...I would just beinterested in your initial thoughts and if you feel like you know or you want to have a punt..then do...no ones going to take the p iss...they leave that for me In fact one of them is so close to gen that I would never buy a deployant advertised as gen again....

I am putting together a pictorial review of the rep deployants compared to the gens and although I am still working through the pics, I thought I would post this group pic..... There are a variation of the deployants here...that perhaps some of you may recognise... the review will follow shortly... Any comments ..

Thanks again..you can see by the edge shape and overall shape (due to thickness as it curves around) that its gen...I always find it interesting that OP produced so many competition/promotional models that would actually much easier to rep given the uniqueness of them...if you know what I mean... Agree on the distortion....and I do remember reading about OP changing the Dia of the cyclops ie 6 & 7 but I seem to recall that the mag changed..but I read it so long ago I really cant be certain ...I was hoping all your research on this beauty that you might of picked up that info along the way.... I would much prefer to refer to my watches as "Ghost" models...as the rules change instantly in terms of the details.... It will make a great sales title.. Hopefuly it wont come to that though mate

Out of interest T.... Given your hunt for parts would of got you into a load of research on this watch.. Your first head on shot in the 1st post shows the cyclops sits slightly high over the DW....I assumed this was the angle of your shot but having played about with mine..if I took a shot at the angle needed to make the cyclops look that high the numbers distort...I can only make the numbers clear and focussed with the cyclops centred over the DW... I can see it is an older crystal going by the AR hue in the cyclops as the later 88s dont have a hue, So my questions are, if you know or maybe K might... Did the older 88s have an off centred cyclops to DW? or was the cyclops a different mag? (thereby allowing the angle the pic shows without distorting the numbers) or is this crystal off another auto..say 104 etc? Also assuming thats a 6554 case back , I cant see clearly, why is there no S/N on the millesimation? As far as I am aware they started on the D and were marked up have you any idea why this hasnt...? Actually I understand exactly what you mean especially so on base dials.... Having had a few of the gen dials in my hand...I always use to double look at it as the Luminor always appeared off the 180 horizontal...but its an illusion...I am not sure if its our eyes (yours and mine) or if its something thats created by the format of the dial that gives that impression... But I can assure you its not the dials...its us

IMHO its the first 2 in your thread with "more Egi shots" Definitely a pic with impact, one of the best pics I have seen of any watch on this forum....

NF did the 111J the better case build but poorer lugs... Be interested to see the DW and Cyclops etc.....
