I suspect, like mine, it just needed to be cleaned and serviced Hold on to it because these 2451's are hard to come by these days. I needed a part to replace one that broke on mine in disassembly and got lucky on fleabay in finding a whole movement to use for parts...

Regarding the Insert. I went with the PMWF insert and didn't bother swapping the pearl...

and they are a heck of a lot easier to finish than vintage Rollie projects
