Great write up Francisco.
Not as bad as I was expecting - now lets see some more interesting models take advantage of this movement
Perhaps a new Breguet Type XX
And you said us Panerai guys were nuts
Incredible collection you have there.
And thank you for having the utmost in taste by not trashing them with Diamond bezels
I assume the Ruby dial is L Swiss L on the bottom?
I would go for an 03A or B depending on the caseback you procure.
Get the dial properly T-lumed (DSN's is not up to snuff) and make sure you have a polished CG with a brushed lever (correct ST4).
Here is mine with a "B" caseback - Gen Dial, hands and Crown
Dusted off the Pre-2004 VC Overseas Arabic Dial today and Rock N Roll'd the bracelet:
Still one of my favorite dials and casebacks. Just wish it was bigger
Well, I'm afraid you are in for a challenge.
First off, the Gen hands will not work on an ETA movement.
Second, you need to find a Rep Explorer II that was manufactured in 2006. This is the only one that had the correct dimensions to accept the Gen dial. I know, because I tried them all and ended up finding the old Trusty model in order to complete mine.
