  4. @subzero - what is the MONSTER on your wrist???? This one for today and for the rest of the week most likely:
  5. queensryche, lol, i love them ahhhhhhh l'amours, talk about history, being 32 and growning up here in nyc that place holds just as much clout as cb's. if we're talking about recording now, i use ProTool 7 on a PowerMac, and i use the Line 6 pod for the guitar recording, just for demos in my home, nothing fancy. In the studio i will usually try something of everything. I actually did a song last night for a Christmas record, we did a cover of Elvis's Blue Christmas, but totally rewrote the music, came out pretty interesting. For that, i just used a shitty old acoustic for my tracks, and then we used a 12 string, grand piano, i think some sax, etc. will post it as soon as the producer gets me a mix
  6. i will from home later, at work, dont have any mp3s here of my stuff. i dont shred, i suck, just a showoff i kid i kid
  7. my personal fav in my current collection is a Original 68 Gibson Les Paul Standard. Takes a serious toll on my back cause it weighs an absurd amount, but i have yet to find a guitar that beats it for me. I have owned and currently own: 74 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty 62 Gibson SG Custom, white, 3 pickups (biggest mistake letting that one go ) Gibson ES-335 62 Fender Strat Early 70's Gretsch RockJet 70's Gibson V replica 72 Fender Telecaster Deluxe B.C. Rich Mockingbird Archtop Supreme a few random acoustics and basses and other crap i cant think of talk about an expensive habit, makes rep collection look like pennies
  8. very very nice starting to get the 6263 itch..................ugh, it itches
  9. for the money, cant beat it. but, like our friend ubi says, the rehaut on some of the older cases its by far superior. and, its an asian movement, where most that are a little more costly are eta. @dwsmoot, it took a little under a month since i ordered it, i even forgot about it, lol.
  10. I must say, the hype holds up. hands down, the most impressive $100 rep i have ever seen. but since i have all the frankensub parts i needed, not sure if i'm going to keep it, so if anyone wants it in the CONUS, let me know, i may be willing to let it go.
  11. geeeez randy, amazing, hopefully i'm still in line
  12. you need to shoot on manual if you're using a digital camera, and set the iso higher so it lets in more light, no need for a flash and a much crisper, better photo
  13. tribal, is that a tw case? lucked out with those lugholes
  14. no problem buddy, andi agree, you would think that it would interfere with the desire for this case, but the case itself, other then the lugholes, is pretty much perfect in every other way. i wasnt aware that this was such a common thing with the tw classic cases, personally, i probably would have gone for one without the lugholes if i knew...
  15. @freddy333... you kinda missed the whole point here. as yor lugholes indeed look great, we were dicussing how to rebias misplaced lugholes, some cases have the lugholes to far off center, which doesnt leave much clearence for drilling the hole bigger cause it might end up coming right up to the top end of the lug. so, we're trying to figure out how to solve this issue without destroying a very difficult to find case. cheers
  16. fake fake fake, take a close look at the date among other things, BAD dial, misshaped cg's. i like how he says "Guaranteed to be authentic and exactly as described". yeah, an authentic piece of [censored]
  17. thats ok, i can wait, i dont want to but i can
  18. get that testing started buddy these small lugholes are killing me......
  19. @haveblue...thanks, and i know, i am hesitant to drill right now, i spoke to cheiftang last night and he was advising against the method that we discussed, any headway on that?
  20. thanks, just gotta get the gen tube and crown in, reshape the cgs and the drill the lugs and its finito
  21. thanks tribal, the dial is from el's sub, which was originally what i was gonna use for this project until i discovered the case size and bezel were slightly larger then gen. i love the way this watch looks once you get that insert trimmed down and the crystal pops out like the gen, looks soooo good as for a gen dial, i'm sure it can be fitted, but being that the lugholes on this case are not exactly right, i'm not gonna put anymore cash into it. gonna drill them the way they are and hope they look ok
  22. hmm, about 45 minutes alltogether i think, i took my time though, considering how tough it is to get ones hands on a gen insert. I'm sure it can be done quicker, but i wouldnt advise it, and i would definalty advise practice first on a aftermarket insert or 2.
