being a pretty much dedicated rolex guy for quite some time, i have never gotten to know the panerai's models that well. I think that i would like to add one of these beauties to my collection, but to be honest, the names of these watches are a tad confusing. this is the watch that i would like a rep of (ignore the strap) now, what the hell is this watch called?? lol thanks guys

on all of the reps i have ever had, (3 mbws, sd from andrew and sub from el) the ductape worked every time. sometimes more force is required, but the casebacks have always come off, and back on tight with no problems whatsoever. maybe its just my luck

ductape like nanuq says, works every time, dont waste your money on a tool you dont need

oh, and thanks for the tips guys, will give it a shot over the next couple days, gotta build up the nerve as with all the times i gotta take the movement outta the case

it was through another member on here who had a spare one, and i got lucky, cause trust me, i looked far and wide, and I still look (still got to other watchs that need em)

Just caught my eye the other day, the date is waaaay to left on the date wheel, as shown in the pick. any suggestions on fixing this? or do i just have to spring for a new datewheel. its not cause of the mag, got a gen t127, and looking at the dial from an angel to see under the mag, its definalty the datewheel. and thanks to tribal for the insert, hope you like how it looks buddy.

@Highflyingclive - nice collection there. almost bought a 74 norton commando, but went with a ducati monster dark 750, suits my needs in nyc more. maybe i'll pickup that norton next spring

as a fellow motorcycle rider, in new york city nonetheless, i am sorry for the loss of your friend. it is a terrible thing. safety safety safety, i cannot stress that enough. i have been in 2 accidents, one where i lost the tip of my pinky (but got it snapped back on) and it was at only about 20 mph. if you ride, the first rule is "EVERYONE is out to kill me" gotta have all eyes everywhere at all times. and people need to remember, hen you are driving recklessly, you are putting your life and many others at risk, and that is just not cool, period. again, i am sorry for the loss of your friend, my condolences to you and his family.

very nice, i just got ELs sub as well, very impressed. i just swapped the bracelet out with the modern SD bracelet that i got of my modern sd from andrew (the sides of the links have the polished finish which i prefer, and the finish overall is a little more to my liking). I am hesitant to swap out the crown being that i have screwed up at least 3 eta's in the process, although my last crown removal went perfect thanks to The Zigmeisters help. now i'm just waiting on my gen insert, so once i have that, will pop that in and swap out the crowns. here's a pic of mine (before the bracelet swap)
