  1. So as some of you may recall, about 2 weeks ago i installed a gen 127 crystal on my MBW 1680 red sub, and the harness that holds the crystal in place was being fussy, so in my frustration, i hit it with a rubber mallet. That got the ring on, but in turn, i had broken one of the tiny pieces of metal inside that holds the movement in place, so the movement was flopping out and the watch was unwearable. So with the help of a few members, randy, you seriously saved me, I did some hunting online and finally found some replacement harnesses for the eta in my sub. While ordering that, i said [censored] it and ordered a bunch of other things (movement holder, tweezers, screwdriver set, crystal press, etc), well, the came today. Put her in the holder, opened her up, and with my shakey nicotine infected hands somehow managed to get everything in place, and screwed back in, and VIOLA, we are back baby. Again, thanks so much to all you guys that helped me along, you know who you are, and saved me from misery. I COULD NOT have done it without you. randy, think we have the same bathroom counter???? lol LONG LIVE THE RWG
  2. Personally, I have had nothing but excellent transactions with all dealers and private sellers that i have delt with, but i also did my homework and knew what I was getting into and who i was getting into it with before I bought. i think that there is responsibility on both ends, the dealer and the buyer. I think all dealers should be responsible for ensuring that: 1. The watch that is advertised is indeed the watch they're selling and the watch the buyer will recieve. 2. At least a quick if not full inspection of the product before shipping. I cannot imagine that these guys have SO many orders that they dont have 20 minutes to inspect an item before it is packed and shipped. 3. That if the watch or item is not up to par, a full refund should be given, or a replacement at no extra charge. Now, there is something to be said about buyers as well: 1. Know what you're buying 2. Know who you're buying it from 3. DO YOUR HOMEWORK If you pay attention and research a little, its quite easy to spot things that are shady and things that arent. because i did this, i recieved, multiple times, exactly what i paid for. I much rather pay a little more knowing that I am actually getting what i ordered. but also, lets be honest, this is a very, very blanketed and risky thing to get into. how many of us have actually seen any of the dealers on this board? I dont know where the watch comes from, or who it comes from, and to be honest, as long as I feel beyond any doubt that i am going to get what i paid for, then i can accept it. I have been scammed once by what seemed to be a reputable dealer, never even got a watch let alone a shitty one, but that was before i joined here, and i accepted it, cause it is risky. But, like i said, since i have become an active member here, and since i have had many conversations with dealers and collectors, i have turned up pretty damn happy.

  8. anyone know a site that sells a good 4-5 space case?
  9. i dont know about any sunglasses, but there is an exceptional difference in the color/brillance of the gen crystal. when the sun hit my t39 this morning, it showed a rainbow of colors in certain spots, so i think there's something to be noticed there. it just looks goooooooood
  10. thanks guys, i'm definatly not knocking it, it looks amazing. as for the ring, its exactly what randy said. after reading his previous post on it, i did in fact notice the groove in the case where the ring should be, so i dug through some olddddddddd bad reps that i had, took the case backs off, and found one that fit right in.
  11. yeah, its the flatter one, and I love it, cant stop staring at it just ordered a white 1680 mbw from a mysery guy, cough cough, cant wait... thanks again bro, we need to get that beer soon.....

  23. Sorry, think i gotta agree with By-tor on this one. Site looks like a scam. Also, looking through the details i noticed that they said "Magnified quick-set date", hmmmm, never seen and EXP I with a date on it, so thats definatly a red flag, any reputable dealer knows about the prodcuts they're selling!!!!!!! sorry dude, i really hope you get at least something....
