  1. He also stated the same thing to me. The dial print on the current batch did not meet his standards and he is waiting for the replacements to arrive. He also stated that he may generate his own super-lumed dial and hands, which is the way I would prefer, knowing his quality control and attention to detail.
  2. gonna be in the 70's here this weekend, lotsa of sunshine. Wish we had some snow to frolic and play in. Good looking snow, and watches, you have there!
  3. I just received the bk transformer. It is a beauty of a watch, runs spot on, and feels great. I gave the bracelet a little lube and toothpaste scrub. The movement is super smooth and the crown works like butter. Great job on this one bk. Let me know what you all think. onto the pics
  4. Can you tell me how many links came on the bracelet?
  5. where did you purchase that beauty? It looks fantastic!
  6. thanks, I'll have to try a bike store near me.
  7. Looks great. Congrats on a great watch. What method/oil do you use to soak the bracelet? I also heard about toothpaste/brushing it? I have a bk gmt transformer inbound and v3 in a couple more weeks. I can't wait to get them. His work looks amazing. Thanks
  8. from that pic, looks like the hour markers don't align with the hash marks around the outside of the dial. Looks like a rush job? version 2 does align better
  9. yes, which dial/package is the most accurate? I would love this to be my first vintage.
  10. I baked an sd dial in the oven. started at 200 and slowly raised the temp. It didn't start working until 325. By the time it changed to where I wanted it, the paint on the dial started to pop and bubble a bit. I left it in a little too long. It did work though. I also put the insert into a bleach bath, rinsed it, then ground up a chlorine tablet and added it to some hot water. I swished the insert upside down in that for a couple of hours. It did have an effect. The granules of chlorine acted as a sand abrasive, as well as fading the insert. If I hadn't of broken the stem while reassembling, I would have had the watch back together. It looks pretty good for a first attempt at this stuff. Anyone have a spare stem for a 21jA?
  11. I like it. It looks great. where did you find the watch?
  12. It does look nice. This model is my next incoming. I cannot wait for it to arrive. Congrats on a great watch.
  13. I would contact bk as well. I have a gmtII pepsi on order from him right now. His GMT transformer looks fantastic and is a great price. The quality and attention to detail can't be beat. Hers is the link.
  14. you lucky son of a gun. Looks like a great watch. Enjoy!
