    Yams !

Thanks for your comments guys. Randy, you can read my thoughts mate already have a gen bezel and looking for a gold crown, but first I need to decide if I keep it (perhaps much bling bling for me) or sell it to funds for another 1665 project. Cheers

    Yams !

Yes, I just receive from Maria the new TT-sub; as soon as I received it polished the sides of the bracelet and this is the result and my impressions about the watch. The dial prints are very close to the original, just like the background of the date, according to K and post-K series. Colour is correct too but the only flaw is the blue of the bezel (less dark than real). Is the first TT sub with the correct bezel ticker than previous versions, crown guards are correct too (maybe needs to open just a bit) and the tube/crown seems less off-centered than other MBW subs. Crystal raise the bezel but less than other MBW subs; the date magnification seems 2,3-2,4 (gen is 2,5 too) not like the luckky's MBW version but like the older MBW's. The laser crown located inside the crystal is near perfect, you need a 10x loupe (or zooming with the camera) and only under certain angles you could see it. Pearl is very close to the gen too, slightly raised but with the correct diameter and correct curvature. The end links are perfect in the color and in the finish (the union between gold and steel) but needs to be more curved; the link has 30º while the gen is 40º aprox. Redhaut is smaller than orig, no questions about that; I owned (and own) several MBW's subs and this redhaut isn't the same. This redhaut is the reason of the date magnification (close to 2,5 but not exactly 2,5), 1mm more in the redhaut would make the date mag Ok. The crown is bigger than real but sits against the tube like the real deal, is one of the best fit between crow/tube/case I saw, even betten than previous MBW. Luminova is similar to other models, correct color but not as bright as the real. Finally a wrist shot, nice watch no? Overall impressions are very good, I'm waiting long time for the correct TT Sub and this one is a very nice example, with some flaws but worth the money. Maybe the perfect TT sub could be obtained using parts from the old MBW TT (correct case, crystal and redhaut) and this one. Cheers, Toni
  4. Great Tommi, that's exactly what I want
  5. Kostas, when I bough my 111H I tried 112s and logos but... not the same deal. the clear caseback, the movement engravings and the seconds hand makes a big diference. Buy any choice is a good point, all are superb watches. I own a number of originals including SS daytona, seadweller, gmt, speedmaster... but my 111 gets 90% wrist time. Just my 0,02€
  6. As Randy said crown guards aren't over polished, It's a beautiful example of a point guards sd; those kind of finish was made in early '70s in GMTs, subs and sd models.
  7. why do you think it's a fake?, seems legit to me...
  8. PAM111H with Dirk's shark for me (supporting Dirk weekend )
  9. @right_on_time: newest asian version.
  10. Thanks guys for your kind words. Just an update: Trying to answer Palpatine's question about the version of the movement I just open the case and found inside the newest 7750 asian movement (according to The Zigmeister's review) so I think this watch must be reliable but found inside one fault: the ring used to seal the backcase against the case is bigger than correct, I think makers are using the "standard" seal for submariner in those daytonas so when you screw the backcase the ring could be cutted (mine was practically cutted) and some piece of rubber could felt off inside the movement. Maybe this fault is the reason of some malfunctions in those models? Cheers Toni
  11. @sql_pl: resets OK, it's the angle of the watch when I'd take the picture (camera over the watch). @promotersf: with pushers screws in both watches you couldn't start/stop the chrono, pushers only works when they're unscreweds.
  12. well, no favs maybe GMT (was the first) but don't have more time on my wrist. Each real was bought in a special moment in my life so each watch is special for me
  13. Yes, a sunny sunday in Spain so I decide to get ot all my watches from the safe and take some pics, here are my amigos... '91 GMT master (he starts my wath obsession) '01 Seadweller '04 X33 Omega (last version) '05 Daytona '06 H series PAM111 '06 DW 6263 daytona
  14. Past days I bought the best wg daytona from EL just to check the similarities and differences between the rep case and the real and to feel how about a black dial daytona. These are my thought: EL's daytona is very well made, but the case is thicker than real to accomodate the 7750 movement but in the leather models is less easy to spot due the special lugs they have. The bezel on the real is tinner, just like the case and this is one of the two noticeable faults that a WIS could detect on the watch. The dial is superb comparef with the real, even the red "daytona" printing. Check the coronet located at 12:00, is very very close to the real thing and correct in dimensions and location. The second flaw is the dimension of the pushers, seems smaller than real, so even if you unscrew sligtly the pushers they are so far from the originals. Crystal is very well made, I couldnt see the laser etching (nor in my daytona) so there are no problem with it. Overall impressions are very positive, a good watch from an excellent dealer and very close to the original, I think you could pass a visit to an authotized dealer (maybe I'll try next week) before I sell it, thinking to buy a fiddy so I'm open for trades Forgot to mention that the watch is running like a champ with no problems with the chronos.
  15. @sydneysider: is a very interesting offer, I think there are around here some guys who are ready to spend this amouth in a high-end rep (me too) so please, keep us posted. Or better, I think I know who is your friend, I had some deals with him in the past and is 100% trusted, you could invite him to join with us, he has a lot of knowledge about vintage rolex and could be a great asset here.
  16. Just a shot of a real 111H for comparison
  17. @sql_pl: I have on the way a wg leather daytona from EL, I will post some pics comparing it with my 116520 ASAP-
  18. You're allright Randy, daytonas make me crazy actually I have on the way a black WG with leather from Eddie, I'll post a comparison when the watch arrives at home.
  19. 100% agree, those asian movements sucks
