  1. Help me mates, could you post pics of your davidsen 5218-201a (if it's possible tell me which version are) . Thanks, Toni
  2. IMO this MBW is the best option to build a "near perfect" LV sub

I don't know why your wife wants to buy you a rollie if she knows your signature :whistling: but my choice if helps is the seadweller hands down (rare to find in any wrist and ticker than sub). I had both subs (with and without date and sold both). I'll also consider a 5513 with tritium dial, this watch will be more collectible in a couple of years (when all the new age of rollie collectors stocks all the 1665 arround the world)
  4. ok, thank you very much, will keep in touch
  5. well, if you are located in EU may I ask you help when start my 16520 proyect.
  6. I must start this proyect one of this days, how much in time and money?
  7. Yes, I remember that. May I ask if your franken was build by yourself or bought from a dealer?
  8. Yes, it's gen. When I bough it I tried both and found black dial more difficult to read. Actually I miss the sport look of the black dial
  9. SS white fat hands but thinking to buy a black dial and change it (but no sure, all my other watches are black dialed).
  10. Congrats, nice watch. Is the 116520 original?
  11. I'm agree with Ubi, different watches: the front pics shows two A serials (one brand new and the other hardly worn with scratches in the bezel and the lugs), the back pic is a non A serial (look at the non-sel links). My only doubt is about the picture of the movement, I'm not sure that the finish of the plates are according to the zenith rebuild by rolex. just my 0,02€
  12. I think for some of us the limit is imposed for the dealers, who aren't able to offer pieces for what we could pay the amount we are ready to pay. For instance I paid around 3k for a 16520 daytona similar to Randy's but finally the watch was wich some flaws and was returned to the dealer, anyway I'm ready to pay this amount again for a 16520. On the other side I consider 300 too much for a pam111 or planet ocean but 600 aprox right price for the MBW AP ROO. The ceiling depends of the watch. Just my 0,02€
  13. @Randy: delivered this morning directly from maria, now the search for the AP movement has started... By the way, I'm looking for a reasonable priced black dial for my 116520, please keep in mind. thanks
  14. This one for a couple of days... Congrats Randy for your 2nd daytona
  15. Anyone know the exact diameter (in milimiters) of the 2836/2824 datewheels? thanks in advance. toni

Nice Frank, love mine too (with kevlar strap ). Respect the datewheel I put one of my designers working on a datewheel picture in order to get a perfect tiff file to print in adhesive, I'll let you know... cheers toni
  17. Angus, keep my fingers closed about the plain versions...
  18. well, not my cup of tea but I think is not easy to replicate: real power reserve over a ETA movement, non-standard date font plus HE valve (still not perfect in all the seadweller reps)... c'mon guys, go for the aquatimer...

Good price but the OEM strap has steel end links inside the strap to fit and continue the curvature of the case. Buckle could be order to our dealers b/c is the same like the portuguese...
