By the way, I have a friend who went to the shop past december and they refused to sell him any case, just gave him the email address of NDt. If anyone know the correct way to approach them I can make another try (need a 6265 case)... just let me know. Toni

You're right, there are 2 versions: this one with older case (thin version) but with "patented" DRSD caseback and this one with the last case with 2 crowns caseback (ticker case):

Yup, same day, month and year... we'll keep in touch for the meeting mate by the way: as soon as you receive Phong's case check it in all the ways, specially the tube and crow position, I returned him one case for QC problems and need to retap other to install properly the 702 tube. Best, T

Perfect watch for birthday present Paul, initially was my idea too but couldn't wait till september... the sooner the better hope we can meet in Marbella this year to share our watches... case was slightly aged b/c as always Phong's case comes with wrong lugholes so I needed to drill it again and polish it after that.

yup, 1570 with early silver datewheel... this watch deserves that movement only

Hay que tener cojones to do that mate, but we are spanish... we can do that and more congrats on that beauty, never saw it in patek ADs in Valencia...

Kudos to all of you guys... all gen except the case (even the 93150 with 585 endlinks). The case is the new one from Phong that solve a hev valve issue in previous versions (now is deeper), measures of the whole case are 100% corrects and add a new GW caseback... the only matter is that is not well finish to use gen opener tools (the marks to open it are wider than gen) but not a big problem comming a fadded tritium bezel... by the way Oli, I owe you a email... just writing it

My two 1665, my daily beaters for a loooong time. (I hope ) and the mandatory wrist-shots... thank for viewing, comments will be welcome best Toni

The best assets in Phong's caseback aren't visibles, they are inside

One of my viet friends tried to bought in the store with no success, they gave him the NDt email address, maybe they are low-profiled right now And respect the difference in price between J&W and NDt is less than appears, I mean NDt sells the case (alone), for a vintage project you need to source the cristal and the old tube and crown and this items are going crazy now, so there's not so different in prices (well except if you use a current crown and tube just like a serviced gen). my 0,02 -
Easy: just check the crow position in a gen and in your MBW, you will see that crown (I mean crown, tube, stem...) in the gen sits near the bezel while in you MBW the crown sits near the backcase... this is my MBW LV with gen crown and tube, check the position, the other pic shows a gen sub...

Currently I'm out of MBW cases, sold my last one two weeks ago but I'm waiting the arrival of another Nam case, I'll take some pics to provide detailed instructions... just gimme till the next next week. Cheers Toni

sorry mate but you couldn't use a 3X35 in a MBW case, the crown in that case sits lower than the 3035 position so you need to tap and make a new hole for the tube... too much work for a questionable result... the only gen movement that fit in a MBW case is a 1570 in a 1665 case with a bit of work (I made a couple of that watches), crown sits ok but you need to make the inner space for the movement screws a bit deeper (easy to do with a dremel). hope this helps (well, thats my experience, maybe other member has another opinion) Toni

Awesome TMG, the more I see those JW cases the more I need a 6265... Congrats and wear it well... by the way: what's the quality of the screw pushers compared to DW's ?

I'm 100% agree with Frank, hard to wait... Congrats and wear in good health
