  1. Amazing pictures, congratulations... What kind of stuff are you using to take this pics?
  2. Well, either you should change the pushers either the crown tube because pushers are for 6mm crown and tube installed is for screw down pushers The case is nice by the way, it didn't come from DW, did it?
  3. That would be great, thanks.
  4. Amazing, not only the watch but the job done on those frankens... need to have balls to do it. Congrats and wear it in good health mate
  5. Interesting project, if you can do it count me in for 1 sub case ! Please keep us posted
  6. Well, no much more to say ... both gens: '72 1680 and '73 1665... Now I need a seventies 6265 like jojo35's to make a double-double red
  7. Hi W. Can't go wrong with Orloff. I had a perfect deals with him, try this: http://s831.photobucket.com/albums/zz234/orloff1812/ORLOFF%20STRAPS/?start=all
  8. Glad to read you Ubi ! Love this black DD, similar project here... what about a group buy for gold cases???? Best T
  9. plexy daydates uses a diferent movement (1555 or 1556) which is different from a 1570 (found on dates and datejusts). To be used in a MBW case you will need a 1570 from a date (1500), this is the best choice but probably you will need to adjust a bit the case. Hope this helps
  10. Had at my desk my 40B to prepare a sales post and can't resist to take some pics from my PAM family: Hope you enjoy it !
  11. Hi M. I had build several in the past and from my experience: The only option to get the right case is Phong but his complete set is very expensive, to make some savings my best approach to build one is: a. get from Phong the case (just the case, no bezel, no crown & pushers, no caseback, no crystal)and try to get a couple of V72 stems for free... b. get Cousins or Ofrei pushers and tube c. add a gen 7mm triplock crown (the modern 703) d. order a set from DW to use the case back and the bezel (you can get a nice price for a set with 6263 and 6265 bezels) and several hands set (that will allow you to find the most accurate chrono hands, believe me, it's not an easy question) e. throw away DW's bezels and get the real one, it makes a huge difference f. add a gen tropic 21 crystal and a gen 78350 bracelet with 557 endlinks (557 endlinks fits more or less in the case, worst than 571 but very cheap compare with it) With those steps you just need wich is the key in a franken 626X daytona: the gen dial. It worth every euro spend on it because no rep dial is close to the real deal Hope this helps, if you need something just drop me a PM. Best T
  12. LOL... spanish people are different we can't agreed just for one city. At the end the sum of votes for Madrid & Barcelona will be more than the others but splitted we have nothing to do My vote for Madrid
  13. I think it is, no red flags on it as far as I can see...
  14. IMHO aquanaut is the most underrated patek (maybe due to it's price or due to the fact that it's consider an entry level for pp owners), it has the same movement than nautilus, it's thin, comfortable, waterproof... I love mine, the only fault is that this watch is a scratch magnet. Can't use mine without seeing a new scratch each day Here's mine (gen 5065), wear it yours in good health M.
  15. Those are great news Tony. Thanks for the update. Have a couple of dials and casebacks here waiting the right case and dial... finger crossed.
  16. Hi mates, Long time no posting here and there... but recently the PAM bug hit me again, one year after I sold my last pam (a gen 111H). Long time making decisions, trying to find the helps from my friends and finally... My 4 PreA with special thanks to Ubi (the first one as usual to put me in the right path), Olreon, Rolli, FGD, Jakob... Well, a special watch for me 'cause it represents the friendship I made here during the past years.. Now the 6152 is waiting... Un abrazo a todos.
  17. Damn, how I miss this post !!! Welcome back G, glad you're still alive
  18. Seller replied, just need to arrive home I didn't mention that in my sale thread 'cause I never thought it was a relevant fauld, I use to apply a bit of glue in the bottom part of the pin. And it's a common flaw when you change the crown for a new one. Anyway I have offered several options to the buyer, change to the original crown at my cost, send a T48 spring loadad crown which will solve the problem or make an economic compensation in case he decide to sell it. The only option I didn't consider is to offer a money back to avoid the time getting the watch back, solving the issue and selling it again but after seen the pics in my FS post I'm open to consider it also I have a solid reputation here so no probs for the buyer, it will finish with a happy endind (in the strict sense of the sentence) and hopefully the agreement will be published as fast as this post. Cheers & beers. T
  19. Congratulations for you JLC, those diving watches are truly amazing... But I own myself a NSA and the strap isn't a big deal, nice but with the use it becomes loosy on end, the strap is very thin and the buckle is 18mm... the same hapen with the nato supplied with the watch, another piece of crap I finished ordering several tick strap from a well known strap maker: But my favorite hands down is a plain nato: Anyway, for a great tech strap try this one, it's on my wish list: http://k-straps.com/Carbon-Fiber.php
  20. Great ! What about a dial for a old chronomat (the 39mm model) ??? thks
