  1. Thanks for your kindly comments... I tried it on the field with no success, let me know if you have any idea, I have my mates still there
  2. I`m glad to show you my latest proyect: a 1665 comex with the famous 1665 case from Vietnam. The watch shows has: + 1665 vietnam case with "standard" DRSD caseback plus a comex caseback + 1665 comex dial vietnamese too + 702 gen tube + crown + gen tritium insert fadded + rolex 1570 movement with fist batch of silver datewheel (more "white" and bold than moderns) + gen 93150+580 bracelet For those who think about the worth of that cases (considering they are f**ing more expensive than MBW cases) my thoughts are: + Case is 100% accurate, but the bezel correspond to post-1974 period (is slightly tinner than previous) + Crown and tube matches perfectly with the case, just like the real deal IMHO, that crown make a big difference... + the engravings inside the lugs are very well done, close to gens as well as the inner writing in the caseback: + the dial is similar to MBW but with a important difference for me: one of the problems when you use 1570 movement on MBW dials is the size of the date window, in MBW dials the window is smaller (0,2mm or so) than gen, that makes that some days (ie 31 ir 10) seems very close to the borders and that thing never occurs int the gen. This vietman dials has the correct size as you could see: Finally some pics comparing my "ultra-mod" MBW case (modded by repaustria and me) with my new viet case (on top in each serie): Hope you like it
  3. The crown in the picture isn't a 702, is an early batch of the 703 so it's suitable to be used in a new SD tube. just my 0,02
  4. Repaustria is your best option, period. But I don't know if Oli is currently doing mods.
  5. Very nice aquanaut. Is the jumbo version or the "standard" 36mm one?. Could you post some pics of the date wheel at 27 or 15? Thanks in advance and congrats!
  6. It's easy: just unscrew the stem retainer, just check this topic: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=33737&hl= hope this helps
  7. Red for me (but I always have at home a white dial ready for swap)...
  8. But check the inner space before because 14060 case is smaller than 16610, maybe the dial will be too big.
  9. I bought some items from that guys and never had any problem in the shipment (not as speed as will de desirable). Try to contact them and ask a feedback about the shipment. Hope this helps.
  10. easy, send it to The Zigmeister for a full relume job !
  11. @Rosnik: both are tropic 39 with same reference; superdome was used by rolex in '70s, aprox in the DR and the "rail dial" era. After that rlx uses the non-superdome or flat T39 (in the great white SD). 20 years ago (at least in Spain) rolex started to replace the superdome for the flat T39 when you asked a crystal change during the service of your watch, so currently you could find red seadweller with both types, superdome and flat. Now is almost impossible to find a superdome in any AD worlwide, that the main reason about the increasing prices. Owners prefer to buy a non-AD superdome instead a AD flat T39 . hope this helps... toni
  12. Yeah, but I'm talking about the distance between the crown and the case and I'm sure you didnt any modification there Just take a look to others 1665 MBW and check the difference....
  13. Yep, Paso is top notch... but man... that caseback makes my heart breaking. The case seems slightly better than usual, the crown sits more near the case than usual... let see. thanks again toni
  14.  good point, but what do think about the SD diameter? a perfect case but for a sub?
  15. very interesting that caseback, please could you post some pics of that caseback as well as other of the He valve (seems real) thanks Toni (firgers crossed thinking we have finally the perfect caseback for the great white...)
  16. Nice project Carlos. I have the second crown you show too and it's impossible to fit it in a current tube just like Repaustria wrote, by the way Oli, I owe you a copule of mails, I'll send it this weekend My advise is to get a net crown+tube set (PM if you need help, I'm located in Spain too). Cheers mates !
  17. Interesting... please Paul could you PM Connie's website link? I forgot it thanks
  18. My thoughts for you and your family Euno.
  19. Very nice Pedro, but what's about the hands, seems a bit oversized
  20. Hi Jarpo, welcome on board. We're a small group of spanish people, don't hesitate to ask whatever you want. Cheers from Valencia Toni
