It may be that because they sell trademark items like Rolex dials a few aftermarket sellers only sell sterile parts some trusted dealers also do the same with pp anything seen as replica is classed as fake and againt pp policy
try sending them an email and ask mabe they only accept payment with cc direct .

Looking good im glad that i will be building a (homage ) to the bay at least i will have a watch to wear until it is available !
-
Poetry ! man you have got it bad! wear it well ! Where is the photo ?what I did was read a lot of posts. I got a input via pm on what the gurus thought the was a great build. I can afford a gen but it was important to me build a watch that was visually appealing to me. i didnt buy the most expensive parts. In fact decided not to go with gen parts (dial and insert) because I wanted the watch to look a certain way. It took me a year to build it.
Basically I'm saying I didnt do a build to impress anyone but myself.
This is my snowflake There are many like it, but this one is mine. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. Without me my snowflake is useless. Without my snowflake, I am useless. I must wear my snowflake true.

I love the colours on the blackbay i dont feel the same way about the pelagos being a vintage sub sort of guy! Helenarou has plans for a blackbay last time we exchanged email messages they will do a sterile caset and a full rep of the bay but the angus looking good any updates there?

Go to puretime and see the red submariner 1680 watch 198usd this has a 2846 eta movement and then go to yukiwatch.com has a tudor dial for 168 usd with the snowflake hands the backcase is plain so mabe later you could find an engraved backcase this watch takes a 26mm dial most of the trusted dealers vintage subs have 29mm dialsI am most probably looking at a snowflake. In particular this watch was the one that got me interested in the Sub http://www.rwg.cc/to...ub#entry1141318
What would the easiest way to go about making something along these lines? I currently have no experience, any advice?
this for me is the cheapest way to go but with a little work on the case it will look very good ,goodluck ! and you can find a local watchsmith to put it together for you !

Hi im planning a tudor build myself i think for a low cost best bet is to buy a TD vintage submariner and then get a tudor dial most Td watches will have a 29mm dial the cheapest would be rafflestime dials they are around 30 usd and the hands around 24usd and a TD sub around 200usd are you looking for a snowflake?
i myself will be building a snowflake no date next using puretimes 1680 red sub watch which has a slow beat eta movement i will remove the cyclobe date magnifier and just fit the tudor dial and hands
the cheapest would be an asian 2813 movement watch i thick cost around a hundred usd depending on what you want to spend

my question i meant to say will this movement work with a gen sub dial!Well Put them flags out i actually won an item on ebay ! 7 bidders for a raymond weil dail and movement well my interest is in the movement it was listed as a eta 2892-2 21j
but after blowing up the photos its actually a 2892-A2 eta with 31 jewels i put my bid up to 70 usd in the last few minutes and got it for 46.10 usd plus 7 usd shipping
the watch dial looks like its from the 1970s when did these movements first come out? i wonder if these will work with a gen date sub? with regards to the date window alignment? i will need a dw
here is the dial that comes with the movement not a bad dial at all
she will get a full service

I have ordered a lot of stuff from raffles for my tudor blackbay homage(lookalike) they dont have bracelets with rolex logos i asked last night im looking at there tudor snowflake dials but ken told me that the markers are flat not raised my question is (sorry for hijacking your post) but did they made a snowflake with flat markers i know that some rolex gen dials have flat markers ! raffles said that he has rolex logo crowns has anyone ordered one?Personally, I'd get a slow beat eta movement, that fine tick of a 2836 is a big tell for me. I am embarking on a 5513 build at the moment, do Raffles do a rivet bracelet with the rolex crown on? Also what do you think of the accuracy/quality of your Raffles bracelet?

Build it for yourself there will always be someone who will say get a better case if you like it stay with it ! why do we feel that there is always something better out there ?
this is our hobbie not a obsession no stress no tears ! enjoy the watch and if you dont like it i will buy it
-
Very nice and finished piece !
-
Bidding closed at 4490.69usd ! And there suppose to be a economic crisis going on ! wonder if its in the hands of a true rolex tudor fan or some one who will try and sell it for a profit!

Anyone know where i can get a marine national dial this dial is growing on me !
-
A few years ago before we joint the EU the customs used to call me to say we have a package for you from china 5 rolexes and an omega i always worried that they thought that they were real and im avoiding paying thousands on taxes there was only two customs guys and when i said you know they are replicas they would say shush ! dont say that word in here out loud ! but now there is a women customs and she is very zealous and gave me a ear ache with a rolex box set !legal to own in my country as long as the goverment get their share of the import price
-
In my country every ems parcel is opened and they also want an invoice and a paypal payment proof and charge 17% tax or cease the item i ordered a rolex watch boxIf what I read so far on the forum wasn't wrong, FedEx do their part of custom check and therefore harder to get reps to pass by. That's why dealers does not recommend them
ems and the customs told me never ever order these kind of item again i told them it was aftermarket still they let me off just the once we have to remember that these replicas are not legal
-
Ems are handled by the post offices and delays are on par with normal postages thats why i always insist on fedex which takes 4 days to arrive plus they had there national holidays and the post offices at that end have to catch up my orders have been delayed too a month now hopfully i will get the packages this weekend !

The wafer dial adds more to an already fussy dial they should make it plainer and less glitsy looking the old version is much better and the see thru back is tacky hope the rep makers make a solid back version

Im a big fan of bond but i would buy the watch with out 007 markings after all would a secret agent have i his secret double O advertised on his wrist watch so his under cover status is useless does james bond wear a 007 logo omega in the movie ?That looks awful. Sorry.
The '00'7 marker looks like it dropped off the face from somewhere else and landed there. The pattern on the dial doesn't know what it wants to be either - kind of trying to be tuxedo but going the wrong way. Just another attempt to differentiate from other Bond Specials in order to keep dipping from the obsessive fans with small brains and deep pockets.
Irrelevant anyway - I'm only interested in 'on screen' watches, so hurry up and get that AT out, guys....
Did you ever get lucky on ebay?
