  1. This is a nice one... A couple obvious tells; subdial positioning, datewindow & font, rehaut text... but all taken into consideration I think I'll be getting one. I'll wait until the Tudor black bay is released, then I'll order both and save on the shipping. excellent!
  2. Ya, between the River / Athaya / NW casebacks, the NW is the winner. I will upgrade one of these days, but first I'm going to soften the outer edge of the River to bring it closer to the text, and give it a bit of a polish. That should give the illusion of closer to Gen, even though proportions are still a bit off.
  3. Nice one.. My recently finished one says hi!
  4. I've got the gun loaded and my finger on the trigger... but I'm gonna try to put the safety on until V2 or 3 is released... Amazing rep though and I can't wait to see QC pics from those getting in on the pre-order!
  5. Wow, and I was impressed by your 201... These are serious business. Well done!
  6. I think my keyless got messed up on removal, I didn't remove the stem in winding position like I should have. Movement was hacked when I removed the stem. Simple mistake as I was a bit careless. Nevertheless, to fix it without dial removal saved me a lot of time, and work. I should have mentioned that I borrowed that pic above just to show the hack lever. I didn't have to remove anything other than the balance bridge / wheel to get at the tip that contacts the balance wheel.
  7. I have found another way to reset the keyless works in a 7750 without dial/hand removal. This just occured to me as I was re-reading this thread to refresh my memory since I messed up another one last night... Make sure movement is in winding mode. Insert stem and place movement into winding mode, then remove the stem... movement will not run, and other functions will not work, this is OK Place movement back into the case (as a holder). Now remove the balance bridge and wheel: remove one screw and carefully remove bridge with tweezers, lifting out the wheel on the spring. Now use a small pin to gently press the stop lever (#6 in pic balow) all the way back in. Then stick a pin into the stem hole and wiggle it out gently to be sure the castle wheel & gears are free. Very carefully re-install the balance wheel/bridge and the watch will now run. Now re-install the crown/stem as per usual, and if all goes well, you've fixed it... without touching the dial side
  8. 253, on a nice vintage GPF style strap. My little girl loves the display caseback on this one
  9. With the date wheel position, size of hands at CP, and overall case thickness being much bigger tells.. I don't see the point to correct the crown position.
  10. The condition is just fine for me, the cost however... I just got a reply, 10,000 euro for the dial... now at least i know what a gen Pre V dial goes for
  11. I'd love to see someone build the ultimate franken! http://www.chrono24.com/en/panerai/panerai-pre-vendome--marina-militare-non-matching-dial--id2286296.htm?query=Panerai+202a&suchen=Search&dosearch=true&searchexplain=1&resultview=list&dosearch=true&urlSubpath=/search/index.htm
  12. Try to find a Goin CG.. they're great. Don't go too crazy trying to get the Pre-V to perfection cuz you just can't, and you'll just drive yourself insane trying. Get it 90% there and then just wear it, and really enjoy it. It's a Pre-V after all... you're not fooling anyone that really knows their Pam's no matter how good it is. Whenever I wear one of mine I always want someone to call it out, to at least start conversation and show that they know what it is, but sadly it's never happened yet
  13. Amazing! Really amazing. I'm in for one of these cases when the time comes. What will you do about the rest of the details? I assume PVD the bezel to mimic the ceramic on the gen and get hands/rehaut painted, unless there is a ceramic bezel from another model that can fit... ? -- I'm going to order another diver to have in reserve for if this project happens.
  14. 16610 on a breitling black shark strap with AP tang buckle.. perfect combo!
