  2. I am led to belive it is, and just to save you all doing the sums thats $176 or Euro 131 at todays rates
  3. Does this look like a good price " clearing out my parts box of things i think i wont need 93150 bracelet clasp used but in good condition and not overpolished and rolex crown is still very prominent as shown by the pics below.
  4. It’s strange that they don’t do it in 16mm though which from memory was the width of the one in the film. If you look at the pic’s there is a large amount of spring bar showing.

  6. It's a very nice case and would obviosly look better with 30 years softning of the edges. The bit that sticks out for me is the shape and depth of the bezel teeth, they appear to go to close to the insert and the shape is all wrong. http://doubleredseadweller.com/rs1.htm
  7. Gratuitous picture of my 5512, now starting to show a bit of wear and looking a lot more real as a result. Thanks for looking.
  8. No conection with seller. http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=64465
  9. Hi I will take one with flat 3's for an MBW 1665 with 2836-2. SB
  10. Virgil Very nice watch. Here’s a picture of my slightly cheaper MBW alternative. SB
  11. Ah, thanks for the info. Are these the things were talking about? http://www.cousinsuk.com/catalog/4/0/1998/3341.aspx
  12. May be of interest to a Daytona builder. I am not associated with Chronomaster. They have a good reputation in the Gen. watch community. Enicar Sherpa Graph Chronograph Valjoux 72 Recently serviced and mint condition 1960's Beautiful Enicar manual winding watch with Valjoux 72 movement - renowned as being the best Valjoux movement ever made. Keeps time to 5 seconds per day Enicar watches were made to extremely high standards as many of them originally went to export to China where there were few watch making skills, so a watch needed to be durable, reliable and strong, so it would not required to be fixed. Stainless steel case and the back has the Enicar large Oyster and pearl logo, with an individual serial number. The watch is a classic design with lovely contrasting features. It has a plain bezel making it less busy. The watch is simple and to the point, with a robust movement – reputedly the same movement, the Valjoux 72 that was put in Rolex Daytona’s. The button at 2 starts and stops the chronograph and the button at 4 resets the chronograph. The chrono 60 second hand is the sweep hand, the sub register at 3 is the 30 second timer, the 12 hour timer is at 6 and the continuous seconds at 9. The crown and dial is marked with the Enicar logo. A stunning classic in great condition. Comes on a replacement strap. Dimensions are 40 mm excluding crown, 44 mm including crown and 49 mm lug to lug, thickness is 14.5 mm. Ref: VIN 491. Price
  13. Excellent. I thing the bezel fading matches the rest of the watch perfectly.
  14. Have you got an ebay link to one?
  15. Has anyone got a photo of the correct clasp for a 5512 on a folded link band.
  16. How realistic is this I have assembled this folded link bracelet from some spares and a folded oyster band of the bay Its obviously not stamped with the any numbers but I think its an improvement . What do you think, should I go back to the standard MBW item ?
  17. Considering the number of failed attempts its taken to get old model rep looking even passable I think the new SDS reps looks like a good starting point.
  18. You are right, the holes look like they are predrilled to the correct size. One less job to do.
  19. The best way of modding the SSD or any other is to look at picture of a gen then look at your own watch. Then change or modify the bits that are different.
  20. I think you should trim in inner CG's first and see how it looks.
  21. It’s a wet Sunday afternoon here in the UK so I thought I would take a few pics of my 5512 with its newly installed superdome. This is basically a Cousins tropic 19 with the corner rounded and polished to make it more dome like.
