  1. You've Been Elfed!!! Life is all about BUTTS you're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it, trying to get a piece of it, or behaving like one ...... That's right, you've been " elfed " . Pass this on to as many people as possible, but you can't send it back to the person who sent it to you. He who elfs last, elfs loudest!!!!
  2. count me in for two of them
  3. dont beleive all u read around here , most of these gusy write as they think and not as they know, im sure u have figured that out by now, lol i have found in the mbw watches u can do just about waht u want to with them to make them work just like genuine if u need help with modding yours just email me and i will gladly give u advice and try and help u do it yourself , someone asked about the hands, yes those r not eta hands , they r hands to fit the 1570 hole size , someone else asked about where to get the movment , there r various datejust that have this movment and lots of time if u hunt just right u can pick them up fairly reasonable, im hoping soon i will have threee available in a month or so , i know for sure they will not be here long , lol , and to u CD , im so glad u love the watch and more so im glad we got it like u wanted it , and i cant wait to see your sons eyes on christmas day when he opens that baby , lol however i bet dad will be wearing it more , lol , thanks to all for the nice comments !!!! merry christmas to u and your family joe
  4. cause he paid me 20 bucks instead of 200 basically, lmao , but mainly cause it wasnt anything major , just some trash and only took me an hour to get it running again smoothly , and no i dont work on them , i just looked it over for him and found what was broken , like the stem was broken off inside the movment and the trash and etc. , basically i pieced it together for him and refinished the case and installed a new tube and crown and stuff like that, the dial and hands were not installed by me and they do reset usually to straight up but when u wind it they move a bit, and i believe they do this on the genuine watch as well he also has a guy that will do him a overhaul in his neck of the woods , so i was told, because i would never completely breakdown this movment , wowowowwowo not my thing , lol oh yeah i have a better dial if u want it , but u never mentioned it , just get with me on that ok merry christmas joe
  5. probably my pasha seatimer and or my big orange monster po or my panerai sub or or or ok ok i cant decide right now , lmao joe
  6. yes i was also amazed how cheap i could offer this to u guys, that tells me that some companies charge way more than others, ouchie but mainly im glad i could get my watches done in true pvd not to mention yours as well it was really a hassle before to basically beg for this service and pay 350 bucks or more for it only a year ago and it wasnt even true pvd , it was diamond coating called dlc or something like that take care joe
  7. (there is no labor cost if u send me your watch dissassembled) but if u do want me to then email me with what watch u r planning on sending and i will tell u a more accurate price all watches r not created equal and some take more time than others, if u have one in mind just ask via email or pm me , for example : like a base model pam then it should be around 50 bucks give or take 10 bucks and etc.... joe
  8. now that is some funny [censored], lmao
  9. my vote is they will never make it exact because then there sells will slow down, that is why they fix one thing and have fault in another area, soon however we will be able to buy 2 or 3 watches with good areas and bad areas and combine them to have a perfect watch , we already have in many cases but mainly it is about the money period merry christmas joe
  10. most definitely , only time there was a long turnaround is because of a special project or something i havent done before , i only had maybe 3 or 4 that had to wait that long since ive been working on watches for all, but they were informed until i got ill and then i had to put everyone back on the back burner but not anymore, the wait is over and special projects now r handled differently , before there was no time set in stone on them, now there is and it will make a big difference in confusion, (in watches and some of the things im asked to try like pointy cgs for vintage gmt and some types of gold plating and silver and white gold plating and or making a part from scratch that no one else has attempted , it can take a long time and now it is known im only human) but i have learned from those mistakes and life goes on, but i have never not completed them in one way or the other basically i stand by all my work and always have now the next thing i left unfinished is datewheels , another special long project but no one is waiting for them and or paid , just hoping i get it soon so they can have one for there watches normal stuff is usually a quick turnaround but watches r like people they can act up as well, lol merry christmas joe
  11. no problem (in watches there is always something new and exciting to learn and or teach) so please keep educating , i appreciate your vast knowledge of the v72 cause i sure thought it was funny that it had the R in the middle of what i thought to be the old eta sign stay healthy merry christmas to u and yours joe
  12. i was asked this today on the pvd coating , the turnaround could be from one week to three weeks , pending on when u send it and stuff like that ok merry christmas joe
  13. yep some sweet stuff to come , also thanks for your thoughts of my health , im much better now especially after losing some weight, but now the holidays have come i think im gaining again, lmao ouchies hope u have a very merry christmas joe
  14. rotflmao, nah randy , i will just let u study the who made what and which era deal(im not big on reading books too much) my school days r over , lol (but im not too old to learn new tricks) lol, im more of a hands on kind of guy and making things fit and run properly etc.... merry christmas joe
  15. so the R means rolex approved , huh?
  16. that explains the eta sign around the letter R then , i never act or said i was a expert in this movment , i just know it works and is fully transplanted , even the student teaches the teacher sometimes (just kidding with u ubi) , lol thanks again my old friend joe rbj69
  17. i believe it came out of a zodiac watch or something like that but rolex made the movment for them , the only mark i see on it is the R beside the 72 and it looks like it is outlined by the eta sign, lol , all i can tell u it is sturdy and came out of a watch won off ebay that was not rolex but it is the 72 style movment and lines up nicely as u can see, i had to make a special bracket to hold it in place but it is solid after that and feels very genuine and again the best one i have seen so far that actually works worry free glad u enjoy it joe
  18. get u some cape cod polishing cloths , get the kit it is real nice and does a easy fantastic job on minor scratches joe
  19. What we have here is the infamous DW daytona with a few exceptions, ok it has a v72 not 727 (made by eta ) so i was just told by the expert lol , but it works like a tank (unlike the mystery movments that r around) i installed the v72 correctly in it and did up all the bells and whistles , it is truly a work of art movment , i had to take some xtra pics of it and show it to u guys that loves this stuff someone is going to be estatic for christmas!!! enjoy joe(rbj69)
  20. well i was working on this project about a year ago , then i got sick and now im better and got this one complete and now i can offer this to your watches at a very low price compared to some i have seen the cases r beadblasted to spec. and then pvd coated , here is my watch i used as a sample run , so u can see how beautiful it really is and what it really should look like keep in mind i took pictures pretty fast but i think u can see what it looks like , if not lmk , just remember lighting on pvd will change the appearance of its true color which is basically a off black or greyish color in reality (i took pics without shadowing and some with shadowing so u can see the difference a picture can make) and yes i know one side of my pins is silver , it was missed and i am sending tthem back to have him do that side, lol it was a sample run and he got it right on the first run , he used to do this work for a famous guy that doesnt do it for the replicas anymore only genuine, so he already knew the procedure , which made my life easier for sure!!! so far cost is going to be as follow , unless he changes what he told me (some r charging double for this and some r charging triple for this job from what i gather it is really not the person offering it but the company they r dealing with is jacking it the price up , i guess i got lucky, im dealing with friend) 120 usd- if u send me the parts to be pvd coated(if u send me the watch to dissassemble and put back together there will be a small fee on that job) 200 usd- if u send me two watches to be done at a time( dissassemble price will not be different ) keep in mind it doesnt have to be just panerai , i can do just about any color in pvd (such as gold or shiney black) (im actually going to pvd me a rolex 5513 just because eunomians showed me the dowling guy did on a genuuine and it inspired me , lol) also if u only need a certain small part done and not a whole watch i probably can get that done for next to nothing for u , by throwin it in with another watch or something , ok so far that is what i have come up with ( it is offered to anyone that wants it in any country ) email me with inquiries jbuttspsu@earthlink.net Merry Christmas to all!!!! joe (redbigjoe69)
  21. Happy Belated Birthday Arthur!!!
  22. wow that is way cool, i didnt even know he could talk that much, lmao all i can see him as is rocky balboa with the short talk , lol nice thread joe
  23. i did up mine almost two years ago and did a whole thread on it , got take a look and u will learn , here is pics of it and i just looked and my braclet is lined up nicely , it came from joshua i believe back then or it could have been king , hope this helps , i also made the back prettier as well , lol imho it is still the best one u can get in this model and it is a tank, i also upgraded new thicker crystals in mine and to me it makes it heavier and mainly just looks better, i dont think it had sapphire in it even though it was said to because mine was chipping around the edges pretty bad on the back glass
  24. try removing the crown stem and putting it back in and tighten the screw that holds it down more securely, it sounds like it has just got somewhere in between in the engage and disenging function and probably due to the stem holding screw has loosened over time and it slipped just a bit , if not then u may have to remove the dial and hands and make sure all the stem mechanism parts r in place and not off track(better yet send it to a pro if it isnt the first thing i suggested ,lol) or take a look at my tutorial on assembling the release mechanism and make sure u have a beer with u if u do it yourself , lol just like in my tutorial u have to drink u a cold beer after doing this repair, im kidding good luck joe
  25. rotflmao : redneck for sure
