  1. i used mostly these to do my sculpting , lmao
  2. this is pauls watch case i used pretty good huh? and i dont use dremel bits hardly ever, i use jewelers sculpting bits, they look like dremel bits sort of but cost more and do more precise trimming basically joe
  3. actually i could work the date mag out but we decided to leave the genuine tropic 116 alone, the pic makes it look really magnified but it isnt on the wrist that much but it may be a little more than genuine , again i could have shaved the crystal down a bit to make it sit closer to the dial and it would have lightened it up Nanug , also the bezel is not a michael young bezel , that is a hand cut by rbj bezel my friend, , and the bezel insert is a genuine not aftermarket , pretty much like all my other vintages i did it my self and the pointy cgs were done by hand u cant do that with a cnc machine, it is like canvas art with metal, lol as for the bracelet , to each his own, some like oyster and some like jubilee for this piece , i personally like the jubilee just because everything else i have is oyster style, lol glad u like it and also really nice to see u as well euno, glad to be the one to raise u from the dead, lol im kidding my old vintage friend joe
  4. i like pams but the definitely r not my favorites for sure, i have them in my collection and every now and then i will wear one, but i find i usually wear a rolex and lately my pasha seatimer is my favorite beater, lol good to see u around joe
  5. those cheap crystal presses will not work on the ring , the crystal on those type watches r way too tall and the nylon dies r not deep enough to press it u will marr or crack your crystal just trying to catch this before the guy goes and takes your advice and makes a mistake on his watch and or spends money on something he cant use on the 1680 joe
  6. the 1675 pointy cgs rolex gmt , Joe(rbj69) referring to this thread
  7. oh man that is nasty my old friend, but i may have u , these thumbs have been working overtime lately, lmao and keep in mind this is normal wear and tear, please squint your eyes while looking , roflmao
  8. well now i know who sold it , i would say give him until sunday actually, just because if he is coming back friday from a trip he may have lots of catchup to do , and it will not affect u either way via paypal i feel if u had the problem soon as u recieved the watch and that is what it sounds like to me , then i feel that u r entitled to full reimbursment. now if it was a week or two later being it is an asian 7750 then i would say it is your watch and u got it working fine and now it isnt ,so the seller is done with the transaction. but u say it was like that when received and seller said it was fine when it left him, so i would say it is still the sellers till u get it in your hand and its working as described i have had watches that i modded that had problems and i always have them send it back and i try to fix it for them, even when they were working fine before i sent it , i call that customer service, on a few occasions i have had to replace a movment out of my pocket only because i was responsible of checking out a new watch for them and it was not working when they recieved it (even though it was fine when it left me), but lets say they contact me down the road cause there watch stopped then that is where i draw the line , i mean i will still fix it but for a fee, these r replicas and like [censored] tracey said it is a good idea to know how to do simple things like uncase a movment , cause hands can get bumped around and get hung up on eachother , it is a rarity but it does happen, especially like those DW daytonas(which is a ongoing problem) as to nguyendd , i would give ajoesmith through the weekend if i were u , just because he has been around a while , i doubt he is out to get u , i have had no personal dealing with him that i can remember but i do know and have seen him around for a little bit hope this helps joe
  9. great to hear from u as well, and study hard , lol joe
  10. i would probablay have to agree with the plaintiff in this one, he paid for a watch that was said to be working fine and when recieved it had problems, now i do agree with the guy that said that about DW watches, they r a pain in the [censored] if u know what i mean, u can breathe on that sucker wrong and something acts up, lol just my two cents, i feel the seller should simply accept the watch back and send the cash back or take it back and fix it for him and send it back again, it seems to be the fair thing to do imho joe
  11. doesnt work for me either, the bam seems to be for u only , lol however they do have 10% off coupons all over google joe
  12. i was looking for the genuine i did some work on for a customer(through my saved pics) and i cant find it at the moment , but i replaced his crystal and it had the same crystal as this link im showing u on it which is alot like the same as the gmt with the correct stacked hands, and the one the so called perfect sub , now like i said i didnt measure them to see if they r exact but it had the same features as the genuine i worked on and as they r selling for genuine here , those ones without that lip r not as tight as these with the lip and the white compression/seal type ring is less visible just like genuine, now it could vary from model to model but i wouldnt think so , hope this is more understandable for u chief. genuine style crystals for genuine rolex
  13. just read the crystal issue as well, it is actually not a odd thing , it is more correct to genuine, im sure u have seen it on the genuine subs u repair, (that is why this particular one doesnt show the ring holding the crystal as much as the older ones u described do and that is why genuine hides the ring as well)(many last year used to complain to see that white crystal ring too much on our replicas which is correct but now they cant complain about that with this styled crystal, i believe the old tw best subs had this same crystal years ago if im not mistaken) and it is snugger and more waterproof imho, i havent yet compared its size to genuine subs yet but it might just be the same size crystal, as well and there r lots of places to get aftermarket ones for it , hope this helps joe
  14. it seems it is luck of the draw basically, i have heard some have no problems and they run fine , then i have heard many have had trouble with them, as for keeping time , they do a fine job usually and for the repair, it really depends on what is wrong with , it is very hard to find parts for it to repair , most of the time it needs a good cleaning being this is alot of money for u , i would recommend not getting it , i would rather see u spend your money on a eta swiss movment usually for a little less than the one u r planning on buying or better yet pick up a nice watch with the chinese copy eta in it for not much over a 100 bucks depending on your taste that is hope this helps and i know it wasnt exactly what u wanted to hear joe
  15. if u want help on how to do this i will help u , simply email me and i will give u detailed instructions on how , ok joe
  16. they r not screws they r pins, u can get them from ofrei.com , u have to call and tell them what model the watch is and they will have them for it , that bracelet is equipped with the same pins as genuine , hope this helps , if u have no luck contact me via email and i will try and help u out joe
  17. ask some of the dealers, im sure they can provide u with one, i may have one laying around if u have no luck ok thanks joe
  18. not really the way u describe it , i doubt it will help but it could , but i would make sure u dont get it near the crystal and or let it near anywhere near where it might could seep in the watch and under the crystal , cause it will cause a mess for sure, the best way to fix it is to remove it and loosend the spring wire a bit and put a dab of grease if u like hope this helps joe
  19. now that is an awesome looking piece, i wonder do they make it in stainless steel or white gold or platinum? nice find joe
  20. well from your previous girlly pics , i am willing to be u didnt find them at wal-mart, lmao
  21. yep should make a double click and u will see the tip go all the way in till it stops on the little circular fat [censored] then it is in correctly hope this helps joe
  22. this one right now 1675 pointy cgs
  23. i have always had good service from josh and paul, and i dont know much about the seawolf, but usually with that big of a difference there is probably a difference , it may be a small one or a big one , i would probably ask joshua about it and see what he says , he usually knows why his is more in a case like this joe
  24. thats what i was thinking to, lol
  25. thanks nanug, it is definietly a tropic 116 joe
