  1. for me this has become a daily watch and still the only one i own that i get asked where do they sell them at all the time locally , lol right now i cant load pics for some reason but it is the black dial pasha seatimer oops here it goes lol
  2. oh my i never have seen that one euno, that is sweet man, and they did the pvd more like the panerai with beadblastin, wowowoowwowowoo nice find joe
  3. it was probably just pvd without beadblasting , that gives it that shiney look, they look amazing to me to and i might have to do me one lol, nice find joe
  4. its funny when i had my genuine pams one was shiney and one was not (the one i own now is a submersible so it doesnt count)lol, i guess they dont pay attention to detail up at the panerai factory as well as we do , lol joe
  5. r u sure it isnt the clicking spring or the clicker itself wore down too much?, i doubt the teeth have worn out behind the bezel unless it is like 5 years old or something then maybe it could but only if it was turned like everyday , at any rate i can get u a bezel , just email me ok joe
  6. that is cool, i would let u borrow my gen. but u live so far away and i would be too scared to ship it overseas to u ,now u have to buy u a reall one i guess joe
  7. your watch guy should replace it for u , i have had to replace something that went wrong before for customers, unless it was a special project and u knew the risk and he acted like he could do it , then i would say he should replace it for u , just my two cents joe
  8. u need to use a bezel remover(and then u will have to get a feel for it to fanagle it off), there is not as much space in between like the older ones , so the old knife trick does not work as easily and probably it will bend , i saw where someone recently that works on them posted he bent one , so be careful with these joe
  9. since u just got i , i would ask the dealer what to do and if he is a good dealer he will ask u to either return it to a address and he will send u another one and or he may have u send it to his personal repairman to have it fixed or the movment replaced, good luck happy gobble day joe
  10. the proper way is remove them and put them in place where u want them to be but make sure u have the date rolling over if it has one before u put them at 12 but if there is no date it is even easier, also put the second hand at the same position , i have noticed some people dont and im so picky that bothers me i want the second to roll the minute hand over as exact as i can get it , lol if u dont understand simply email me and i will try and help u ok joe
  11. actually if u want it like the manufacturer, u should replace all seals after opening it and tightening it with the proper tool , just my two cents have a great thanksgiving old friend joe
  12. HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY TO ALL AND i was curious what all everyone will be wearing after they get so full from eating too much , lmao GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE , LOL joe
  13. if u cant get it , lmk via email i will help u with some pics , but there r many post showing how to , i even did a tutorial on how to fix the locking mechanism around the stem if u get it jammed , that one should really help , it is under watch repair section probably middle pages somewhere joe
  14. i have three drill presses and one similar to yours but now i have a jewelers press which i showed over a year ago on how to do this, it was a great job of showing how but one thingi do different is i use a diamond point to bevel the edges it seems to not dig but only sand the edges for me, but like u say it is all about setup and for me it is a feel thing as well, but like i posted before , it is a much better way without screwing up like many have by using a hand drill good job joe
  15. superglue is ok and will work but i would suggest a metal epoxy or cement, they cost very little but adhere longer time spand and doesnt get flaky like superglue can , just my two cents also the ones i mentioned give u some leadway time to move it around before it sets on u , hope this helps joe
  16. euno , it is one of those things i really couldnt teach u to do , i wouldnt know how to explain, lol it isnt simply cutting an angle , it is sculpting steel basically, u can call or email me and talk like the old days if u like ,and we may can come up with a solution, im sure i can make the movment fit fine in it for u as well glad u love it XRT, that is the biggest reward of them all, lol take care joe
  17. it has come to my attention many try this with a hand drill and r messing up some of there projects, please when u read people telling u how they do it, please remember it may sound and look easy but for some it is hard and u may be that someone , i use a drill press because even i am pretty handy with working on watches for u guys but using a regular handdrill is even too hard for me to use , why make it hard , another helpful tip : they sell for cheap contraptions to turn your drills and dremels into a halfway decent drill press, being i do this alot i chose to spend the cash and buy a nice jewelers press but thats me like i said in the past there is a tool for every job and for me a hand drill alone is not the best way for drilling lugholes i can tell u one thing i have done hundreds of lugholes and using a regular hand drill is very hard to do , it is basically a feel thing when using it and to me speed is a issue as well as pressure , so people please be careful if u r one of those guys that have book sense and not mechanically inclined stay away from it , it will cost u more in the long run , i will even be willing to drill the holes out for u for half my fee as long as u finish it with the buffing which most can do , i really would hate to see people hurt there watches and mostly i would hate to see people hurt themselves by slipping and drilling a hole in there leg or something , so be careful !!! please dont take this post out of context , it is merely here to help people be happy/careful and if u do it yourself , know what is out there to make this job easier for u!!! take care joe
  18. i dont know of any right off hand stuck on with double sided tape but with reps it is possible, usually the markers have a mini post behind them and r glued in or tact down from the back side of the dial, u should be careful while doing this procedure hope this helps joe
  19. im with u on that as well XRT, i dont like that puffy look either, to me it just looks like it wasnt a well kept watch, or more like they say water got on it and made them swell, lol i like the way my genuine 1680 has aged, basically slightly discolored (or a slight yellowing or antique whitening ) again this is basically a taste issue, (some like coffee stain look , some like puffy humidity look , some like crusty scarred up look and some like minty look) , some like mustard and some like dijonaise (grey poupon) lol ok i will stop now it is getting late and i am getting delirious with analagies now , lol and im sure my spelling sucks by now , lol joe
  20. i dont know if it is a sub bezel cause i have never to my knowledge worked a sub bezel that was as thin as this one in thickness , but basically i reshaped it by hand and then i polished it dramatically to make it look refinished and not new , i can also reshape it to look fairly new with sharper edges but in all the pics i have seen they r rounded like u see basically it was fun actually just because i was creating something once again no one else has and that is what i like most about "special projects" simply doing hard stuff and sculpting , not just grinding and cutting with a dremel and using handdrills to make lugholes, lol i have some more things cooking coming soon , watch out joe
  21. i have the black with same dial as yours and aside from the bigger logo on the dial and the bad colored lume i love it , and also the black bezel has the correct black edged trim around the triangle and the orange doesnt , which is another reason why i went with the black bezel insert but the pearl is too small which im fixing that problem now as we speak, lol roflmao i to left the plastic on it and forgot to remove it till i noticed it finally, lol enjoy that piece joe
  22. i knew u would love it euno, lol as for the crystal , again xrt likes the bigger fisheye look but it is actually an easy fix by just trimming the crystal bottom to make it get closer to the dial which will make the mag lesser , and also i did put the generic on there and we decided personally we still liked the genuine tropic mag. better , so when u r ready for one we can simply use the generic, roflmao joe
  23. glad to have u back my old vintage loving friend joe
  24. heres some pics of a genuine we used for the mold and there r others , there seems many have been polished on more than others and went with the refinished from factory look basically
