It looks like a redone Dial to me.
The Markers are badly relumed but the Dial is maybe genuine.
For a 16800 the Dial is not signed Singer more Beveler.
Roles changed to them in the middle of the 70's.
I have not seen any aftermarket 16800 Dial in all the years.
The Datewheel is defenetly wrong.
It must have open six and nine.
For me only automatic watches do the trick but that's only my opinion.
I don't like quartz.
Same to me I allways wanted to know how things work when I was younger
For some work buy a cheap watch for training.
You will see you can get good results after some time.
If you need help in the future feel free to ask.
No that is not my intention.
But this is a forum to talk, discuss, share experience
and also for help.
I don't like when people don't introduce them self and climb in
only to buy a watch, that's it.
I appreciate if a new member is really interested and will
allways help
As I told in my post English is not my native language.
Maybe I sound rude this was also not my intention.
So now have fun in this great forum
warm welcome......
you can trust the collectors on this board for shure....
Forget everything about Grade AAA+ etc. ,
you can get good or bad Reps thats it.....
You will see there are a lot of reviews of watches here so you can build your own opinion, most of
the collectors carry the same watches maybe with different prices
Maybe you read my post
http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=89506&st=0
Thats not a defense to new members,
I only want to share my opinion on those first posts and that some climb in only to get a nice watch
and then never come back....
this is what I mean....
Most of the members go the hard way and bought a overpriced "super Rep" in the past
thats Live.....
But after you found the forum you read and learn a lot and this is the right way in my opinion
Discussing things, talk to other member, show your watches , make new friends etc...
This is for what a forum is.......
You are right......
But me bothers that they go the easy way.....
I think the most intention is to buy a good Rep and thats it....
Thats not what the forum is for......
I know I was also a Noob back in the years, but as i found the old RWG
I introduced myself and read a lot to learn........
that's the normal way i think......
But that's only my two cents...........
Is it just me or do you feel the same.....
A lot of new members are up on the Forum now,not a problem but most
there is no intoduction from them, they don't read the rules.....
They only want the best AAAA+ watch for cheap........
Damn I hate that, why they can't take the search funktion or just read the topics...
All Information is easy to find here....
So please new Members read and learn a lot in this fantastic Forum...
Don't rty to get the best watch only to fool somebody.....
This is a fantastic hobby......
Think about it.....
Visually is a old modded Sub nice, but this one is better.
Because you can install a gen Crystal, also the datewindow
on the Dial is better more opened like the real deal.
Yelp apart from the crown position it's near to perfect.
I had some trouble to install the gen Insert but I solved
The problem.
Next step is to install a gen Crystal and then it's finished.
Thanks for the kind words guys.
You all know I handled a lot Subs and this one is
the best one.
Needs not a lot of work only some upgrades with Parts.
Date is now perfect,Lume is great and the overall feeling
is really great.
I like it a lot.
First this is a Rep Forum not a buy Forum....
Take your time read and learn a lot....
Don't bother us with stupid nooby questions, you can find all the Info you need here....
Damn I hate those first Posts...
I installed a gen Tube and Crown and a gen Insert
also the Bracelet is different with a new Clasp on it and gen Springbars.
The Glass is also changed with better Datemag, but I will install a gen Crystal.....
I found a good solution to fit the gen insert recessed.
You must press the outer lip of the bezel a bit down.
Take a piece of wood or some other stuff and press on
the top of the bezel, that brings the outer lip a bit inside.
Grind the gen bezel insert down on the edges.
After that press it in the bezel and it's nice receded on it.
Than install the assembly and the Insert don't go out of the
pressed lips.
You can see on the Pics its nicely recessed on the Bezel
